Pet care experience
I am a hybrid working person, with two in-office days a week so I am really a homebody. I am available weekends and holidays. I do have experience with administering medication to cats. I also have experience with reptiles as well. I volunteered for years at both an animal shelter and wildlife rehabilitation center before graduating from college to teach science. I also have an almost 5 year old child who is spilt custody 50/50. She has been born into a home with big dogs and cats so she is used to animals and has been taught how to be respectful. With that said, if your cat is not child friendly please let me know. I can see about whether your dates align to the times when she would be around as it is a home she shares too.

Shayna is a responsible, honest and loving dog caregiver. She has stayed at our house when we were out of town and cared for Jorja, our labradoodle. We cannot say enough good things about this remarkable young woman.

My house has an open living and kitchen area for running around and play. There are several scratching toys available. I currently have two litter boxes available (more can be set up). There is an additional room that will be available for shy cats to be acclimated to the house.

No breed preferences. Just up to date on vaccines and a recent fecal would be nice. Please let me know if your cat would need to be kept in a space away from other cats.
A typical day
My current cat loves to play with her toys. I also enjoy blowing catnip bubbles for her (although she prefers licking the bubble solution from the floor so it's something we have to practice). I also do have a leash and harness to work on allowing her time with me on the porch when the weather is nice. (She's spicy and tries to spend the whole time eating plants so that's a fun experience). We also wind down with snuggles and pets for bed as she sleeps next to my head every night.

Availability
I am up early every morning to take my daughter to school. Roxie's water bowls and food bowls are checked. Roxie being 14 yo has already shown a pre-deposition to kidney problems. There are three water bowls throughout the house. Two in the kitchen/dining room and one in the master bedroom. She is currently on a prescription kidney diet (she prefers her crunchy bits I don't know why). She doesn't like wet food too much. So, during feeding times, Roxie will not steal other animals food. Expect lettuce from the bearded dragons. I am mostly home during the weeks and weekends and rarely out for more than a few hours at a time.
