I just moved to Salem and found myself in a pet sitting predicament when I needed to go to San Diego for a long weekend. After living close to friends and family for so long I have never had to board my dog and felt pretty uncomfortable doing so. I read nearly EVERY dog boarding reviews online before finally getting in touch with Shaylyn. Shaylyn met all of my (very high) expectations for a pet sitter. While I was away I checked in with her a few times a day and she always responded quickly to my texts and often sent pictures of my little munchkin. One night she admitted that Aston was anxious from thunderstorms and wouldn't eat so she decided to hand feed him. That moment alone gave her an A+ in my book! Hand feeding my pup is something my boyfriend and I do when he gets overly anxious but I would never expect it from anyone else. Shaylyn is truly as good as it gets. I had the opportunity to meet her before I left town and what stuck me instantly was how kind-hearted and warm she is. There's no mistaking her love for animals. I will absolutely be using her to pet sit in the future!!

I use Rover Pet Sitting to care for my dog whenever I leave town. Shaylyn is great! When I first contacted her via Rover website, she responded immediately (unlike many of the other sitters who never got back to me). Prior to petsitting for us, she had me over to meet me. I am a worrier and she is great about sending photo updates so that I know they are doing okay. It is so nice to have someone that I trust looking after my fur babies so that I can enjoy my time away. I highly recommend Shaylyn!
