Hi there! It is great to e-meet you. My name is Shayla and I would love to pet sit your fur baby! A little about me: - I have years of experience with varied dog breeds and sizes, as well as those that may need a bit of special attention (reactivity and / or medication). - I have been a part of dog training classes including puppy training and socialization, agility, and intermediate skills training. - Our house consists of one large, sweet shepherd mix and my very kind and animal loving partner, Alex. We are used to continuous training, handler vs toy vs treat driven dogs, dogs that are more sensitive, or can adapt to almost any situation. - Our dog is large, about 70 pounds, but truly a ball of love and has never harmed another living thing. He LOVES small dogs and cats, which is what we offer to sit. I am so happy to do a meet and greet before to help you feel more comfortable. - Your dog or cat will be so loved and well taken care of! I am very responsible and love animals of all kinds, so I will make sure your fur baby is in trusted hands while you are away. Hope to meet you soon!

Shayla was absolutely wonderful. You can sense immediately just how much she loves animals. She took care of our dog and our house when we got married. She was extremely communicative and sent us pictures throughout the stay. I would highly recommend her if you need someone to take care of your pet.
Shayla was an amazing dog /house sitter for my two dogs this weekend. They loved her immediately when we first met. I had no worries about leaving her to take care of them. She asked thoughtful questions before and gave detailed notes on how things went and sent some cute photos as well. I would absolutely have Shayla come stay with our dogs again.
Shayla has a special loving connection with dogs! They have been her constant companions and she has grown to understand their moods, behaviors and needs in many situations. Shayla has volunteered at shelters and been a foster mom. She is extremely responsible in caring for the animals in her care, always attentive to potential problem interactions or risky behaviors or environments. She has a lot of ideas for playtime to keep dogs happy and stimulated. She is also conscientious about following instructions if that is required. But Shayla's greatest qualification is her loving acceptance, patience and affection for dogs of all kinds which builds trust and creates a fun time for people and dogs alike! Highly recommended!
Shayla has an intuition with animals that is unmatched. Her kindness and love for each animal shines brightly. Owning a reactive dog can be difficult for me but Shayla was patient and won my pup's trust immediately. She has taken care of him when I'm gone including walks, giving medications, cuddles, playing fetch and tug with him and so much more. You and your pet will be in the best of hands with her.

I can flex my schedule to be available if you fur baby needs walks, food, or medication at a certain time. As long as you are ok with me away for a few hours in the day as I take care of my own dogs and accommodate my work schedule, I can be available for your pupper / kitty anytime!

A typical day
A typical day can be balanced with play, mental stimulation, physical exercise, training, and naps. Walks can be a familiar route around the neighborhood, fun parks with lots of smells, off leash dog areas, or trails and hikes - whatever you would like!

Availability
I work a hybrid job from 9am - 5pm, so my schedule is fairly flexible. I like to walk my dog in the morning before starting work, and in the late afternoon and evening. If you need me to walk your dog at a specific time of day, just let me know and I can see where I can shift my schedule!
