DOG LOVER EXTRAORDINAIRE
Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Shaye! I'm an NYU graduate living near the Hollywood/WeHo border who has been actively caring for dogs since 2018. I would be more than honored to care for your dog. In terms of my dog-related experience, I grew up with a sassy Bichon Frise and often cared for my friend's pets over the years (breeds include a basset hound, boxer, miniature pinscher, pug, toy poodle, chihuahua, and lab). Summer 2018 I was a full-time Rover walker with many returning, happy clients, and picked it back up full force in 2020 with dozens of various breeds, ages, and temperament levels. I'm always diligent about going the extra mile to ensure your pup and home are in a better shape than before I arrived. If your pup makes a mess, I’m on my hands and knees cleaning it up. I won't be able to have a dog of my own for a few more years, so I'd be over the moon to be able to care for yours 🐶
Reviews
Shaye is the best! Extremely reliable, flexible and trustworthy. I know Harvey is in good hands when he’s with her. Highly recommend.
Shaye was so great with my anxious pups! Will def be rebooking!
Did a great job caring for my whiny, demanding little guy!
So great, goes above and beyond!

In my own home I always take due care to remove anything from the floor in my apartment that your dog may want to nibble on. I live in a 1-bedroom, so your dog will ALWAYS be in my line of sight. At your home, I’m happy to remove my shoes or any other request you may have. I’ve been in the apartments of many dog owners and have a high-trust relationship with all of my clients.

Information Shaye D. would like to know about your pet
- If your dog has stranger danger (i.e. tendencies to bite) toward new humans or other dogs, as I’ve noticed some dogs developed severe separation anxiety coming out of the pandemic - If your dog should avoid greeting other dogs on the street - Typical things they get in trouble for doing (getting in trash, chewing shoes, etc) - Any tricks or behaviors you would like me to work on with them - And if I’m going to your apartment, of course let me know how to get into the building :)
A typical day
Typical doggy daycare with me is always starting the day with a potty break outside and longer walk to tire them out. I will then usually feed if needed. They typically nap near me while I work on the computer or get household chores done, and then when they wake up we’ll do some play time in the apartment! I like to take them out every 3-4 hours to ensure they are well tired out by the time they get back to their owner.

Availability
As of May 2023 I currently work part-time in the restaurant industry and leave for work at 6pm. During the day I have full-time availability for pet care and my boyfriend works from home full-time. I relocated from NYC to LA in February so I currently do not have a car, so pickup/drop-off to my building is preferred unless you are in reasonable walking distance.
