Being a licensed veterinary technician in a specialty and emergency hospital for 18 years gives me the skills to take care of all types of pets, especially those with medical needs. I work Wednesday to Saturday 8am to 6pm. I got into this profession because I adore animals and want to dedicate my life to their well being. I feel very comfortable administering many types of medications as i do on a daily basis at work. This includes oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, transdermal, and intravenous routes. Some background on me...I have been working as a Veterinary Technician since 2005 and obtained my certification in 2010. I enjoy working at a prestigious emergency and specialty animal hospital and possess great medical knowledge and skills. I am a 2008 graduate from Rutgers University with bachelor degrees in both Animal Science and Wildlife Conservation. Since being a young child i have been a huge animal lover and have always enjoyed taking care of family pets including cats, dogs, rabbits, fish, a bird and a hamster. Growing up, my family had a Golden Retriever/Irish Setter mix named Brandy. My grandmother had 10+ dogs over the years that surrounded me growing up. My aunt had a Rottweiler that I loved. Our family dog Apollo who was Golden Retriever/American Bulldog mix just passed away this year. My mom currently has a 9 year old cat named Klaus. I have always had a lot of compassion for all animals and knew I wanted to dedicate my life to their care and well being. Meet my pets "Chauncey" A big orange boy who loves basking in the sun, ferociously playing with his toys, and trying new food. I treat him for diabetes and kidney disease.
