work from home - flexible hours

Pet care experience

I grew up with dogs and cats and have always been the go-to pet sitter for all of my friends... Most animals warm up to me pretty quick! Since I can't have my own zoo, I decided to settle for dog-sitting for now. I spend a lot of time hiking already, so if your dog is in need of some exercise, I might as well bring your dog with me! My 13 year old lab mix is starting to slow down, but she loves company -- i'm willing to leave her at home if your pooch prefers some 1 on 1 time, though! I work a few hours in the mornings, then otherwise work from home so i have lots of flexibility most afternoons and evenings. Just shoot me a text anytime and I'll be happy to work with you

Shay was amazing! She was willing to help last minute, and had great communication. Our pup is nervous with strangers, but she was able to get him to warm up to her within a few minutes! She let me know when she was going to meet him, sent lots of photos, and let me know when she was leaving that everything went well. I'm always worried about our fur baby, but I have complete trust that Shay will take good care of him! So thankful for Rover and great people like Shay to help our pup stay happy and get exercise during a long work day!

Shay is an amazing fur-sitter, and I wouldn't trust my dog with anybody else other than Shay. She already enjoys long walks, so you might as well have your dog tag along! She's creative and flexible, and she will come up with solutions to make sure your dog/pet will have the best experience being under her care!

Shay is a phenomenal dog sitter! She is very communicative and hands on when it comes to my two dogs. In the past, Shay sent me a bunch of pictures of my dogs to show that they were having the time of their lives with her while I was out of town! :) She is reliable, caring, trustworthy, and very easy going! My dogs loves her. She made sure they were comfortable (one of my dogs has separation anxiety, but with Shay-- no problem!). I will continue to seek her out to watch my two babies and would highly recommend her to others!

Trustworthy person. You can trust her with your furry family member! If you asked the dogs to give her feedback, they would all give her 4 paws up and waggy tails!

Information Shay B. would like to know about your pet

I'm happy to meet and greet any breed. Questions would be: Is he/she friendly towards humans? Other animals/dogs? Any physical limitations, or psychological concerns? (Scared of cars, shouldn't run too long, can't swim, etc)

A typical day

I like to try new trails at least once every week! I tend to avoid paved walking paths because of my old dog's tender paws, so here are some of my usual haunts: the old dillon reservoir trail, tenderfoot trail, willowbrook trail, lowry campground trails, and the white river national forest access trail up on wildernest. I'd choose the trail based on whether your dog likes to play in water and whether you'd like to avoid mud -- and I promise to ALWAYS towel off your dog before letting them back in your house!
