Hello! My name is Shawntel and I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family had 2 dogs and 4 cats. Now I have three dogs that I couldn't imagine my life without them, with two of them being rescues. One is a German Shepard mix, another one is a Pitbull, Husky, Lab mix, and my newest addition is a golden doodle! The German Shepard is a senior so I am used to making accommodations for animals as well as giving mediations. It doesn't matter if they are young or old, big or small, boy or girl-- I love them all. I am currently a first grade teacher in Lake County which I recently took time away from dog sitting to focus on my new position. But now I’m back! So I am available before and after the school day during the week for your animals and pretty free on the weekends. I am usually pretty flexible so if you need anything special for your animal, just let me know! I truly believe that a well taken care of animal is a happy one, and who doesn't want their fur baby happy?! I look forward to meeting you and your sweet pooch!

Shawntel was so amazing and made me feel so comfortable leaving my baby. She sent pictures multiple times a day with updates & made sure everything was neat and tidy when I got home. 10/10
Fantastic experience from start to finish. She came to meet the dogs before the date to make sure they, and we, were comfortable with everything. Made sure all their needs were met, sent adorable picture updates, and took great care of our boys (who can sometimes be a bit rambunctious). Would not hesitate to hire again!
Shawntel did a great job. She gave me updates on how Bo was doing and sent me pictures which I appreciated. I would highly recommend her

Please let me know if your animal(s) has any special needs, requirements or behaviors that I should be aware of. I always try to do a meet and greet before agreeing to book so we are both comfortable with one another and we are on the same page to make sure the animal(s) are well taken care of when you are away.
A typical day
I love to stimulate your dogs physically and mentally. I will play games with them and get some of their energy out. Either take advantage of your fenced in backyard or enjoy nice walks around the neighborhood.
