Pet care experience
I am a fun, energetic gal with 15 years of veterinary technician experience. I am comfortable giving medications (oral, injectable etc) and working with aggressive or scared animals. I am home full time and love spending time walking and playing with pets. It's never fun to be away from your family. I do my best to make your pet feel less anxious about being away from you by providing a loving home environment with plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep them happy. Walking is one of the best ways to stimulate your dogs many incredible senses and help induce bonding so I like to walk your pet a few times during the day. If your pet has any physical limitations please let me know so I can tailor your dog's day to his/her needs.

Shawna and her husband are the real deal! I can say without hesitation that I have never felt more at ease while on vacation. We were able to fully enjoy our trip knowing they were taking care of our dog and two cats. Shawna sent frequent updates and pictures and was so thoughtful and considerate with our home. We came back to a spotless house, a sweet note, and very happy and healthy pets. She will be 100% be the first person I call the next time we go out of town.

A typical day
Depending on what you allow and the season I will take your pet on different outings including hiking, pet-friendly stores, the dog park or the river front trail. There are also a few local dog-friendly water spots where your pet can splash around in the summer.

I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be there for your pet. Pet sitting and painting at home are my only occupations.
