Hello my name is Shawna! I live with my husband, our 3 boys 5 and under , and our 11 year old dog Zoe. I have many years of dog and farm animal experience. I live on just over an acre of land in the Ranchettes which is a rural neighborhood 5 miles from Punta Gorda Airport. Our entire property is fenced (even the driveway) and the gate is always shut so no need to worry about your dog running off. Our family loves to be outside with the dogs. If it is a hot day we make sure the dogs don’t stay out too long and keep them hydrated. We play fetch or just let the dogs explore on their own. While inside the dogs will be allowed to roam freely and given plenty of attention and treated like our own. Zoe loves to bark at people and their dogs when they first arrive but she is friendly and loves the chance to socialize and play with other dogs. There is a chance your dog’s stay can overlap with another . For that reason I only take friendly, non aggressive dogs.

It was so helpful to leave my Yorkie with Shawna when we went on our weekend family reunion. She sent me pictures and let me know how he was doing every day. I was able to enjoy myself knowing he was in her care. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Shawna did a great job, the cats are shy around others but were well taken care of and were waiting for us when we came home. Shawna will be our go to Rover cat sitter! Highly recommended.

I care for them in my home like I do my own dog. Walking and feeding will be done based on each dogs needs. Medications can be given. All dogs will be closely monitored while outside. Please tell me if your dog likes to escape and needs to be leash walked.

Please leave dog bowls at home I have plenty. Also please no inside toys they are possessive over or any awhide type treats. Any milk bone or fast eating treats you want to bring are fine. I will not take in agressive dogs who aren’t good with kids or other dogs around. No dogs with food aggression although I do feed everyone in their own safe space I Need to know if your dog will try and escape the fence such as dig or jump the fence. Will they come back inside if called? If not they will need to be leash walked. We are always outside with the dogs but our fenced in area is large. Will your dog sleep over night or will they need to be let out overnight? Does your dog have frequent accidents in the house? Does your dog have any unusual quirks ?

Supervised outdoor time in a large fenced area . Plenty of down time relaxing freely in the house. Lots of attention given by us and the kids

Availability
I only work part time 2 days a week and can still come during my lunch hour to let the dogs out. All dogs will maintain same feeding and sleeping routine as they do at your home.
