Pet care experience
My family and I ran a nature preserve and organic farm for 15 years. We have cared for a myriad of animals and are experienced pet owners. Housesitting, pet sitting, dog walking have been part of our lives for years! We recently moved back to Salida and we miss caring for animals. I work from home and have a really flexible schedule. I am very active and love an excuse for an extra walk or run! We have hired pet sitters before and I would love to reciprocate the loving attention our animals have received. I'm happy to give individualized care to each pet! They're all so different and have varied personalities and needs. I'm happy to adapt to what each family and situation requires. We have trails and huge fields for running, playing ball, right outside our home and an amazing dog park just down the block!

Third time using Shawna and this one turned into an adventure with the snow. But my dogs were well taken care of as always!
Our dogs have very different needs (one's 10 years and the other is 6 months!), and Shawna did a wonderful job looking after both of them and the whole house. Will definitely be booking Shawna again!
Shawna was such a wonderful sitter for my 5 month old German Shepherd, Freddi. She took Freddi on multiple hikes, kept me updated, and sent pictures throughout Freddi’s stay. I confused Freddi’s pickup time but Shawna was absolutely patient and understanding. We’ll certainly try to leverage her services again!

I can really adjust to the needs of your dog! I love yo be active, hiking , running, dog parks, and swimming but I also know that some dogs just like a couch cuddle and attention! We have great open spaces, trails and a dog park near us. Happy to adjust to their needs!
