Pet care experience
I am a retired federal agent who grew up on a farm in rural Maryland. I have never known a time in my life when I was without the companionship of a dog. I was taught at a young age how to care for dogs, horses, cats, chickens ..... I love dogs, even those who have challenging personalities. Engaging in dog walking and pet sitting is more than a part time job interest for me. It is a chance to marry my vetted background and extensive experience with animals to more positive interactions with people and their pet companions.

Shawn took great care of our 3 cats, including one who needs oral medications every day. He sent daily updates and pictures, and even managed to capture a few of our super shy kitty. He was super easy to deal with. I'll definitely use him again the next time we're away.
Shawn took excellent care of our older cat while we were away. He posted daily photos and updates for us. We will plan to work with Shawn for future drop ins and day trips!
Shawn was great. When he came for the meet and greet, he asked a lot of questions to ensure that we were on the same page. When he came to walk Lucy he did all of the things we had discussed and sent several updates and photos.
Shawn provided wonderful care for Daphne. She was very happy when we returned home.

Although I have dogs of my own and have developed a unique care plan for them over the years such as making their food myself, I believe in tracking the customers request for care of their pets to their specifications. Customers love their companions as much as I do mine and they know how best to nurture them.

It is helpful for me to know if your pet has any special needs and if your pet has any personality quirks (most of us do!) you would like me to be aware of.
A typical day
I love to walk with dogs and play with them on and off leash. I have many places I like to walk but I am always open to new routes that the owner may prefer. I am also happy to engage in any games the owner has established with their dog, such as fetch, frisbee, chase etc.

I consider pet care as integrated into my daily schedule. As I do work part time as a consultant, there are rare times I will not be available.
