Pet care experience
A certified professional dog trainer offering clients the comforts of my home to your pets while you are away. This can include training, walking and trips to the dog park! I have two dogs, Finn and Fiona, who love to have guests come and play with them all day! I also have 3 cats and a gentle 9 year old son, so your pets must be dog/cat/kid friendly as well as house broken and up to date on shots including Rabies, DHPP, and Bordatella. Flea & tick preventative a must! I have 3 years experience working in a veterinary hospital and 6 years as a certified dog trainer. Currently, I do work full time with Sundays and Wednesdays off. My husband is home all day Saturdays, so one of us will be with your dog at all times on weekends. I do work close by so if midday potty breaks are needed I can certainly come home on my lunch break for that. I do not crate my dogs since they are well behaved, so if your dog doesn't need to be crated they can play all day!

I left my little Rat Terrier, Ripley with Shauna for a few days while away and she took great care of my pup! My dog is shy with new people, and Shauna was very patient and gentle with her. She was very inviting and made sure to answer all the questions I had before I left. Her two dogs were very sweet and made friends with Ripley right away. I could tell Ripley had a fun time, she slept the whole car ride home from Shauna’s. Highly recommended!
Shauna's family took great care of Stella. Shauna sent pictures during Stella's stay which was fun since we were traveling with our grown children and could share the pictures with them. She was exhausted when she got home so I know Stella had a great time.
It was great getting pictures of our dog every day. We will definitely have our puppy stay at Shauna's again!
Owen had a great stay! He came home happy and exhausted from his time with Shauna and her family. She sent us a pic each night which my kids looked forward to. We would definitely book with her again.

As stated above, I do have a dog, a 9 yr old son and 3 cats, so your pet must be friendly to them. I always want to know if your pet has any special needs, wants or desires ( loves cheese as a snack, doesn't like their paws touched, likes to chase a tennis ball, etc.)
A typical day
While your pet is in my care, they receive all of my attention. I love to throw around toys for them in my backyard and go for relaxing walks. My dogs loves going to the dog park, so if the feeling is mutual with your dog, then we can make that happen. If your dog isn't crazy about sleeping in a crate at night, then bring their bed and they can have a sleepover in my bedroom ( door will be closed, so getting into things/destruction at night will not be an issue.) I completely encourage you to pack your pet's favorite things for their vacation like their bed, favorite snacks. Did I mention I'm a positive reinforcement dog trainer? Any bad habits you want your pet to leave behind, or new tricks to pick up can certainly be worked on.
