I have been a dog person all my life. It started when I was very young with my best friend Rusty (my aunts dog). We were the best of buds and went on many adventures. Much to my dismay, my parents refused to get a dog my entire childhood. As an adult, routinely went to kits dog beach to get my dog fix, hoping that no one would notice I was an impostor. I would dog sit for anyone who asked. I would borrow my sister's dog when I went on trips to the mountains because he would have way more fun hiking with me instead of cooped up in the back yard. As soon as I could, I got a dog of my own. Bali the Berner. She is a gentle, loving dog who loves the outdoors, loves to play and sleep. We have a dog park near our house but we rarely run into other dogs. It is great for Bali to have a friend along for our adventures. My wife and I have a 1 year old son who is crazy about Bali. We love going on outings and walks together as a family. My wife and I are both Teachers. She is working part time so she is home 5 days a week and I am home evenings and weekends. We joined Rover so that I could get my fill of dogs. Since the age of 25 my retirement plan has been to open a dog Kennel because I can't think of a better way to spend my final years than surrounded by creatures who love you simply for existing.
