Pet care experience
I have volunteered in the past with a rescue shelter and I loved walking and playing with the dogs. As a homeschooler, my schedule is pretty open and flexible so your pup will get lots of attention. I have had cats and fish all my life. I am comfortable with grooming, providing special diets, and giving oral medication. I have two cats and a 2nd grader so your dog must be friendly & comfortable with them.

Shasta and her daughter were so great with Rue. The communication was amazing and you could really tell that Rue was getting the best care and attention from them.
Shasta was wonderful and took great care of my elderly dog. He was happy and playful when I picked him up. I loved all the pictures I received.

We live in a very pet friendly area and are close to two great dog parks. Our neighborhood is full of green spaces and sidewalks and our home has a nice patio for taking breaks outside. We will care for your dog like it is our own. I love taking photos and will send as many as you would like and will send updates and checkins as often as preferred.

A typical day
We will get in lots of belly rubs and snuggles, go on a few nice walks around the neighborhood between lessons, or visit the Shirlington dog park after we are finished with school.

Availability
We are usually home all day most days due to homeschooling. We continue to use pretty strict COVID precautions, like wearing high quality masks and using social distancing, and I ask that my clients are respectful of this. I am very flexible and encourage last minute cancellations due to any illness symptoms. Likewise, if we have symptoms I will cancel the booking. Luckily, I have only had to do this once.
