Pet care experience
Thank you for requesting my services. I will be taking a few months off while my own dog has chemotherapy. Please check back in May!!!! As a life-long dog owner, experienced dog sitter, and APL volunteer for many years, I will provide loving care for your dog while you are away. With a strong focus on your pet's social, emotional, and physical well-being, your dog is sure to enjoy belly rubs, playing with toys and plenty of exercise during our time together. I am sensitive to each dog's unique personability and strive to provide as much fun and comfort in your absence as possible, while adhering to the routines you have established. Whether its extra snuggles during thunderstorms or walks in the Metroparks that are most important, just let me know how to best accommodate you. And dont worry, I'm good at figuring out your dog's needs on my own!

Sharon was AMAZING! She was very flexible with my work schedule, extremely kind, sent pictures and took Dexter on all kinds of fun adventures. Dexter was in great hands and I will definitely contact Sharon if I'm ever in the area again.
When I met Sharon 22 years ago, she had a dog named Daisy. Daisy was amazing and a big part of this was what a good mom Sharon was to Daisy. She was so well trained. My kids who were somewhat scared of dogs were never scared of Daisy. Sharon taught them how to play with Daisy and to be as caring as Sharon was. Even as Daisy aged Sharon was amazing. Sharon is just as great with her current dog Penny. She takes her out all the time to places that Penny loves to go. Penny is now aging and Sharon is very keyed into what Penny needs. I have 3 dogs and whenever Sharon comes over, she’s so excited to see them and play with them. I would highly recommend Sharon to anyone who needs a dog walker or dog sitter.
Sharon watched my house for me while I was out of state. She not only did the watering and bringing in the mail like I had asked but she took it upon herself to go above and beyond and tend to other details in my yard and home that made coming home so much easier. She even asked me if I needed her to stop at the grocery store before I arrived! And she stopped back at my house on the day I was coming home to make sure it looked perfect for me when I arrived. I can’t say enough good things about Sharon. I would trust her with my home, with my pet, with any responsibility.

All dogs that come to my home need to be well socialized and get along with my 13 year old Aussie, Penny. Penny is sweet and friendly, but not much in to playing at this age. Information on your dog's health, habits, likes and dislikes are all important in creating a positive experience for all.
A typical day
In additional to playing, petting and snuggling, your dog is sure to enjoy walks on my expansive yard with a massive grassy area and heavy woods with trails. My gated home is full of birds, frogs, squirrels, and chipmunks providing endless entertainment. Also close to Metroparks, and 2 dog parks.
