Hi Everyone! I have always loved dogs and I have lived with dogs my entire life. Nine years ago, I moved to Texas and was so fortunate to have dogs play an even bigger part in my life. I started volunteering with Austin Boxer Rescue. I fostered and found homes for thirteen dogs in the four years I lived in Texas. I also volunteered at adoption events and I would photograph dogs and create bios for the website. I also started working at a Dog Boarding & grooming facility in Texas. This job enhanced my skills with dogs to include: professional bathing, drying, brush outs, nail trims, nail grinds, caring for large numbers of dogs at a time, giving medications, and really understanding dogs and their behavior. I excelled at my job and was soon promoted to manager. I managed the shop for almost four years, and while I was managing we won an award for best Dog Grooming and Boarding Facility in the area. My husband is in the army and we got stationed at Ft. Bragg, so I had to leave my beloved boarding and grooming facility behind. Since moving to North Carolina, I have continued to do my rescue work by becoming a volunteer for Carolina Boxer Rescue. So far I have fostered six dogs with them, and I also help transport dogs from the shelter into loving foster homes. Two of my six fosters have been hospice dogs and have required special care, which I so lovingly provide. It means the world to me to be able to help dogs. It makes my heart happy. I am currently a stay at home mom and I work from home selling vintage items on ebay and etsy. Since I am home all the time, your dog will have plenty of love, attention, and will never feel lonely. I am happy to cater to your dog's needs. If they are high energy and require allot of exercise and activity, I will gladly provide them with that. If they are older and more of a couch potato, I have plenty of cozy dog beds and a sofa they will like. I will ask you questions to best determine the type of care your dog needs. I also love to send you photo updates of your dog while they stay with me. I have a beautiful, large fenced in back yard so your dog can go potty and have play time. I have a six year old son, who is very dog savvy. He understand boundaries and he has helped me foster six dogs so far, and he absolutely loves it. My 11 year old rescue dog Castle recently passed away. I miss him so much. He was my best friend. Since Castle has passed away, I currently have no dogs. I have multiple dog beds, so that each room has them so your dog is always comfortable. I want your dog to have fun while they are here, be cozy, and always feel safe and loved. ***I am currently not taking any pitbulls, pitbull mixes, or Staffordshire terriers.***
