Shantelle is a very nice person and clearly loves animals. She got our very fussy dogs to finally trust her and eat. However, the first night, one of our small dogs decided to spend the entire time in our bedroom, including using our bed for a toilet! She never noticed and apparently, was not successful in gaining the dogs trust enough to even go outside! So, I ended up coming home to soaked through, but now thoroughly dried, urine spots on our bed (5 in all) which required me to strip the bed down and wash everything one by one to even go to bed that night. Not fun. Also, admittedly our dogs and house is complicated but she seemed to lack even the basic concept of turning outside and inside lights on when it got dark and to close the blinds at night. Our house is a very see-through house so anyone passing by could see in. The effect was that the dogs were in the dark a lot because she was not at the house like she said she would be. As well, the house looked very unoccupied. Again she is a nice person and no harm came to the dogs but I would not use her again due to security issues of not making the house look occupied, not being here enough and not gaining enough confidence with one dog so that she ended up freaking out and peeing on our bed. Too bad. I had high hopes.

Shantelle was fantastic! She sent my photos of Bartley throughout her stay, and kept in contact with me the entire time. As Bartley is a puppy, he can be pretty rowdy sometimes, but I had no doubt she would be able to handle him just fine! She was very nice and courteous, and left my house in the same condition she found it, if not better! Her rate is very reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to book her again. Thanks again Shantelle!!!!
