Daycare with Long Walks & Play
Pet care experience
I am a morning person and already walk miles a day with my own high energy dog! I worked in a doggy daycare facility with large dogs and have experience monitoring rough play and giving the dogs breaks when they become too excited to be polite. I can take regular drop-offs at 6am and, on a full day, walk your dog about 5-8 miles, with play in between. I am looking to build a longterm daycare and boarding relationship with one medium-large to extra-large high energy dog who needs regular daycare (and someone to board with). I would like to do a lot of preliminary work to make sure our dogs have a good relationship with each other before progressing to daycare, but once we see that they do well together, I can do full day daycare up to 6 days a week, and boarding If you do not mind the time it will take to build the right trust, then I would love to welcome your dog into my home and be the person you can call!
Reviews
Shannon was a great cat sitter. Sent me daily pics and updates on Kiwi. Thanks Shannon!!
Thanks Shannon! Another great visit with Parker!
Shannon was great!
Shannon was great - I received pictures and notes after every visit so I knew my kitties were ok. Took a very big load off of my mind. I will definitely ask her to help me again.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety first: I will only accept vaccinated dogs that wear harnesses, and I do have one high anxiety crate from Impact Dog Crates, but if we should develop a longterm daycare and boarding arrangement, I would ask that you bring your crate. On to environment: Dogs allowed on the furniture! I live in a two bedroom condo in Old City with wood floors (the second bedroom is in a loft up a spiral staircase and it is where the cats are; dogs cannot access them). I always have fresh water out. If your dog will be fed while they are here, send their food with them, I will fully separate the dogs for meals. Let me know about treats!

Information Shannon W. would like to know about your pet
It's very important to know vaccine status and any medical conditions, as well as any resource guarding or toy guarding behaviors first. I also like to know about their history, experience with other dogs, how they are with handling, any triggers (things like darting after squirrels as well, not just aggression triggers), and how they are about calming down. I would like to do several preliminary meetings and build a relationship between our dogs before committing to any booking dates.
A typical day
We're very active! I love to do long power-walks; my pup and I currently walk 5-8 miles a day over 3-4 walks (around 8am, 12pm, (crate time), 4pm, and 7pm roughly), out to the Delaware riverfront in the morning and Washington Sq Park in the afternoon (this schedule can be adjusted to your dog's needs!). She also loves to play and will be thrilled to wrestle, and when they're both exhausted, it's time to cuddle on the couch or bed! I can also do training reenforcement, to help your pup keep up their skills.

I work from home and am very flexible to adjust to your schedule. I am a morning person, so I can take regular drop-offs as early as 6am and special drop-offs up to 5am. I prefer pickups by 8pm.
