Pet care experience
I am an avid dog lover, which began with my special relationship with my childhood dog. We grew up together and when I was old enough, I became his primary caregiver. When he became sick with cancer, I administered all his medications and helped ease my old friend's final years. Now an adult, I have three rescues: a 10-pound spaniel mix named Boots. She's a spunky princess! I also have a 100 lb great Dane lab mix named Bear who's a big loving goof. A tripod Kitty named Buffy who adds a bit of spice. My animals are my world and I have a passion for rescuing! I've been a foster mom in the past and love working with animals and volunteering for animal-based causes. I know the trust involved in leaving your best friend with someone, as a dog parent I've felt that! I can assure you I will treat your fur baby as if he/she were my own! I'm never short on snuggles and love!

Thank you soooo much Shannon!! Shannon helped me out last minute to walk my dogs because a reservation from dog hotels at petsmart got lost in their reservation system and we got turned away. It was my birthday and our plans almost got ruined, had Shannon not saved the day. She was very professional and knew how to handle my two high energy pups. We really appreciated her help!! 10/10 would recommend ?

Shannon is one of the most caring dog owners I have ever met! She is incredibly passionate and has such a heart for dogs. She has a rescue tiny spaniel mix and a rescue lab/great dane mix - both very different dogs with different needs - and she cares for them both with skill and love. Shannon is very knowledgeable about different dog's needs, such as how to approach various dogs with different temperaments and she has a wealth of knowledge on dog diets, exercise and first aid. She is the first person I would trust with my dog.
Shannon is a warm and compassionate dog lover! She has two rescues of her own. You can just tell that she has a special place in her heart for dogs of all kinds. It doesn’t matter if they are big or small. They will be well cared for and loved! If you are looking for someone really special to keep your special companion you don’t need to look any further!

My apartment is not huge, therefore I, unfortunately, cannot accept boardings for larger dogs at this time. My home has been set up to cater to my animals, and therefore yours! There are multiple doggy beds throughout the apartment that they can access and multiple "eating stations." All pets are welcome on the furniture and bed! Leashed walks are provided throughout the day and at least one stop at the park for play!

A typical day
Dogs require mental and physical stimulation! While staying with me your pup will go on two long walks (1 hr or more) throughout my quiet neighborhood where they can explore new smells and have plenty of grassy places to use the bathroom. These walks often end with a stop at Balboa Lake Park near my apartment for playtime! I also provide dog massages, plenty of cuddles, and lots of treats!

Availability
I am working remotely and can stay home all day with your babies. Your pups will virtually never be left alone! The pack goes on two long walks (1 hr or more) in the morning and evening - often ending up at the park near my apartment for some off-leash play if you're comfortable with that. Shorter potty breaks are also provided throughout the day and as needed.
