Hi there! I recently moved back to Washington DC with my husband and I am SO excited to continue caring for pets around the city! I have extensive experience caring for dogs of any age--from puppies to seniors--and understand each one requires a different level/type of activity and attention. I also have high-level experience with reactive dogs; from force-free training to play methods to reduce anxiety—i have been there with my own (late) pup! I am confident in walking them around the city streets to keep them happy while staying vigilant for triggers. I also have experience handling pets who required daily medical care, and have no issue with handling their medication. My older dog and two cats are the center of my world, and I promise to treat your pets just as wonderful as I would my own! They are family, after all. My flexible mostly-remote working schedule allows me to spend the most time with your animal to ensure they are well taken care of. Contact me to take the upmost care of your best friend!

Shannon is wonderful! She was so attentive with Reggie, was timely for his scheduled visits, and even took extra time when Reggie didn’t seem ready to part ways with his new friend. I appreciated her desire to visit in person so that we could all meet. She also provided great photos and written updates. Would absolutely recommend her services to anyone!
Shannon was wonderful!! My dog, Buddy, accepted her immediately and we could tell she loved dogs and all pets. We felt very comfortable leaving him in Shannon's care. Once we started receiving updates and pictures, we were even more relieved and were able to enjoy our time away without worrying about him. You could tell from the pictures that he was happy, well-taken care of and in love with his new girlfriend, Shannon! She was friendly, responsive and very dependable. Great communication & reliable
Shannon was great! I was coming from out of town and she was super flexible with my arrival time. My dog, Meredith, is super energetic and Shannon took her on lots of walks, played with her, and even bought her a new toy. I received several updates with pictures. When I picked her up, Meredith was tired and happy. I’d definitely leave her with Shannon again.

My husband and I live in a 2 bedroom apartment in a secure building right next to a park! So there is plenty of green space just a few steps away. Our building is very pet friendly; the front desk staff has treats waiting whenever we come back from walks! I have an older dog and two cats at home. Our dog is welcoming of new pets in the home, and our cats are eager to play! We have one younger cat is who is especially keen on making new friends. We do have a second bedroom that can be used to rotate separate our cats while we are sitting if required. I am very vigilant in the home and respectful of other people's space. If I need to stop in to care for your animal, I will follow any and all instructions and ensure I leave the home exactly how you left it.

If the dog is house broken, how well they walk on a leash (I can handle a dog who is still learning I just like to be prepared), if they eat shoes or papers lying out, and other characteristics that make your pup so special!
A typical day
Walks at the local park just a few steps away, car rides if acceptable, trips to the local dog-friendly Starbucks for pup-cups if allowed, fetch, lake visits, trail visits and more.

Availability
I currently work from home 2-3 days/week and am able to care for your pet any time during those days. On the 2 days I am in office, I am able to step out during lunch, or stop by both before and after work to handle care requests for your pet.
