Pet care experience
I’ve had experience sitting for cats, foster kittens, and dogs, and been a dog walker for an 8-month old golden doodle. I’ve also had some experience administering oral medication to dogs. As a teenager, I had experience teaching my family’s two Airedale puppies minor commands like sit and shake paw. I’ve always loved cats and dogs, and since we don’t have any of our own yet, I get my pet-cuddles in by caring for others’ fur babies.

Our dog Sadie was recovering from recent surgery and Shannon was the BEST care giver for her . Giving medicines and giving extra love and attention to her. I am so grateful for her helping us while we went to my son's wedding.
Shannon cared for our pets and our house while I was out of town having a major surgery for cancer. She is so attentive and caring. I love her. It means the world to me to know things at home are cared for. My pets miss her when she leaves.
We and our pets love Shannon. So reliable, smart, conscientious, careful and caring. Takes care of the pets with love and they love all the attention they get. She also take such good care of the house and yard. There isn't a better person to take care of them.

I give pets lots of playtime and love depending on their preference, ensure they have access to plenty of clean water, are fed at appropriate times, let dogs out in a fenced yard often for potty breaks/outdoor time while being sure to check on them, watch cats closely to be sure they don’t escape outside if they are indoor only, and am willing to take leash-trained dogs on a walk during the day. During pet-sitting, I keep owners apprised of their pet’s status by texting pictures and updates.

A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs through play like tug-of-war and fetch, and I love using toys, string, or laser pens for cats to play-stalk. I also love giving them all the petting and cuddles they need.

Availability
I work from home as a writer so I don’t have to leave your pets to go to work. For house-sitting, I’m usually available Monday-Sunday. I may have to leave the pet at points throughout the day for plans or errands, and church on Sundays, but I try to give pets the love and playtime they need before leaving so they feel happy while I’m gone.
