Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Shannon McCarthy. I have a full time job working in CT. Your furry loved ones will be my priority but I might not be a great fit if they cannot be left alone during the day. I have owned large dogs & cats all my life and have years of walking and pet-sitting experience. I’m always up to walk, run or just play! Animals that enjoy lounging are of course welcome as well! Your animal’s safety and happiness is my goal. While dogs are typically the main request, I am open to any other animals. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend!

Shannon did an overnight stay with our dog and cat. She communicated well, our pets liked her, and we are very happy with her service. When we travel again we would feel confident having Shannon sit for us again!
Shannon was fantastic 👏, she was very responsive during the interview process, I was interviewing for overnight. Since this was my first time using Rover I had a lot of questions. Shannon was easy to communicate with and came over to do a meet and greet and also a walk through. Shannon sent photos and updates, she took wonderful care of my girl!
Shannon was GREAT! I hired Shannon to stay at my house for five days and watch my Westie . She took great care of my little, Katie, who is a very nervous little dog, and she took her time and drew her out and made the whole week very comfortable for my dog. Not only is she a great dog sitter, but she also had to deal with loss of electricity, and a potential flood and handled it like a champ. She was extremely respectful of my home, going above and beyond to leave it better than when she arrived. I would be more than happy to give a personal recommendation for Shannon and I will absolutely hire her again.
Shannon was great! She handled a snowstorm well and we came home to a happy dog. Great communication with us and everything was perfect!

A typical day
If the dogs are up for it then I enjoy walking and playing with them often to get some energy out! For dogs that prefer to snuggle up and relax, that’s always a great option!

I currently work full time from Sunday to Thursday. Overnights and walks are my usual requests due to this schedule. I am able to be flexible for emergencies.
