Hi! My name is Shannon and I am lifelong animal lover. I will provide the best quality care possible when your fur babies are in my care. I have had cats since 4 years old (for the last 30+ years) and I had a dog for 10 years. I have taken care of my family/friends pets over the years offering dog walking, drop-in visits, and overnight pet sitting. I have experience administering medication and grooming pets. My work schedule is flexible and I can accommodate most dates and times needed. This stay worked out well. Shannon was accommodating to my schedule even though it was a short engagement. Listened, understood, and followed pet care instructions. She is very easy to work with.
Shannon took this job at the last minute. She came early so she could learn the routine on New Years Eve. Shannon took care of my 4 dogs and 2 snakes for 20 days. She then had a very challenging situation to address and her and her husband went above and beyond the call of duty to fill in for the replacement sitter who never returned and sat for 11 more days. She stayed on and covered me as I was stuck on the east coast. She gave me daily reports, photos and handles things extremely professionally. She is extremely mature and I would highly recommend her!
Shannon is such a joy and I would recommend her to anyone who has a pup that needs care. My fluffy buddy, Happy, took to her immediately. He can be a bit rambunctious when meeting new people and I've always had a hard time calming him down. The reason I knew Shannon was different is because she was able to get him to sit still and be pet instead of jumping like crazy. They were fast friends and she has helped me with him many times. Shannon is very attentive and was helpful in both walking Happy as well as caring for him on overnight visits. It's nice to find someone I could trust to treat my dog as if it was her own pet.

My biggest rule and priority is safety first. I want to make sure I create a safe, fun environment for your pet so they have an easy transition while you are away. If we go for a walk or to the park, I make sure to keep them safe (i.e. be aware of other pets and stay away from any aggressive behavior, make sure we cross the street safely, always on leash when not in fenced-in area, etc). I treat pets like my own fur babies and give them lots of love and affection (only if wanted by the pet). I make sure to give them space to feel comfortable and ease any anxieties. Prior to the sit, I will go over expectations and discuss the owner's pet rules and requests. My home is clean and safe, no hazards. I always make sure the pet has clean water and food. I check in with the pet owner daily and will inform them of any concerns as they arise.

I would like to know the dogs likes, dislikes, special care needs, and any quirks they have (i.e.- their favorite toy, eating habits, bathroom habits, etc). I love all dogs- big dogs, little dogs, old dogs, young dogs, and all that's in between. I have experience with both low-energy and hyper dogs.
A typical day
I will take your dog to his/her favorite places to walk (based on your recommendations). I normally walk dogs around a park or I will take them to the dog park to get exercise and social interaction with other dogs. I will play fetch, tug-of-war, or any other activities your dog enjoys.

Availability
I work remotely from home and I have a flexible schedule. I am also able to work remotely from my clients home if needed. Any days/weekends I am busy I will block off, so my schedule will only show days I am able to fully accommodate pet sitting requests.
