Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Shannon, I’m a 23 year old experienced animal handler located in West Hartford CT. I currently work part time at a kennel/dog daycare in Middletown CT as a group supervisor. My duties there include administering medication, cleaning kennels and any animal leavings, supervising group play of 20-60 dogs, cleaning food bowls, laundry, preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our boarding dogs. I’ve had four years of dog training and dog daycare experience, and two years working in vet clinics as a receptionist & veterinary assistant. I recieved my Veterinary Assisting certification from Tunxis Community in 2021. I have a great passion for the wellness of animals and would love to help you care for your animal while you are away or are need of drop ins or walks!! I’m also extremely passionate about pet photography! Shannon is excellent with animals. She has years of professional experience and I feel very comfortable having her watch my babies. My French bulldog loves her a bunch and he always misses her when she leaves. I’ve learned training tricks from her as well.

Shannon has a natural talent for caring for animals. They are drawn to her just as much as she is drawn to them! She has years of experience with all different breeds & I would trust her to take care of my babies anytime. She has such a bubbly personality and a strong love for dogs!
Shannon worked in doggie daycares for about 4 years is great handling dogs and other animals. I’ve personally walked dogs with shannon before she’s a great candidate for rover!

A typical day
Of course I can implement any exercises or puzzles you’d like for me to provide for your doggo! I also have extra tennis balls for all my client’s pups!! I’d love to let them explore all the great smells on our walk too.

I have a gorgeous Siberian Forrest Cat named Toffee. She’s fed and is given all the attention and love before I start taking care of my own daily routine. It’s what being a pet parent is all about! Though I do not unfortunately have dogs of my own, working at daycares has taught me hands on experience of how much dilligence and responsibility it takes to care for your pups.
