Let me know if you have any preferences on how you’d like your pets to be engaged with and if there are any behavioural differences we need to be aware of- especially for lead walking. For example my dog is really good on the lead in well known areas that have no pheasants about. Put a pheasant in the equation and his ears apparently turn off.

I really love trying out new ways to engage with dogs & cats. Recently I have taken up scatter feeding my dog & cats. This helps to tire my dog out because he’s sniffing & it reduces the hunting behaviour I see in my cats. I am not afraid of a bit of mud- please note I live in a very muddy area, so it’s very likely baths/showers will be needed! If your pooch is joining us for a day on the weekend or overnight stays then they will be treated with the greatest of loves available. My husband and I live a quiet life and I enjoy my time with my animals. Rafiki generally goes for 2/3 walks a day, and gets trained twice a day, so if your dog can slot in with this then great. But if your dog prefers a more 1:1 walk then that can be done too. When we go for walks our two cats tend to join us and they also enjoy a bit of a training session too. After our walks it tends to be a nice & calm nap time and later in the evening, 7-8 pm, the pooch gets a licky mat and the cats get a treat each (ranges from licky mat to biscuits to cat yogurts or cat milk). I work from home on Mondays and Fridays and any dog who comes to us will end up having at least 2 walks, along with my dog. They will have access to our garden at all times.
