Shannon grew up with rescue dogs. She loved taking them for walks around the neighborhood and teaching them tricks. She quickly made friends with dogs she had never met. Her love for them was quite evident whenever she was around them and would engage them in play or even just a pat and/or cuddle. Seeing her with a friend's Sheltie that had bladder cancer and whose days were numbered, was heart-warming. She was determined to make his last days as comfortable as possible, and she spent considerable time "spoiling" the sheltie. Shannon knows the importance of cleaning up after a dog. She was/is always careful with having the dog that she is responsible for under her control and does not allow it to mingle with other dogs without permission. She is always attentive to the dog's needs: thirst, hunger, needing to go out, needing activity, etc. Any dog's owner can be assured that when under her care, their dog will have the best of care.
