Pet care experience
Wet noses and sloppy kisses are welcomed here! At our home there are plenty of places for your fur baby to relax inside and outside, including our laps. Our property is a little over 2.5 acres with about half of it being wooded. The backyard is fenced and provides half of an acre for your pup and I to play. There’s a nice screened in porch for the warmer weather and 2 cozy fireplaces to curl up next to on the cold days. All bookings come with free belly rubs for your 4 legged companion! We are NOT a kennel, so we do not have cages for any pets. Puppies get a bit more attention since they are in the most developmental stage in their life. If you have a puppy, I will spend more time with them to do some positive reinforcement training during their boarding stay. I have 2 dogs at home that are great with dogs of any age or size, so your pup will be socialized as well. AVAILABILITY: Please contact me for availability, the calendar does not always update in between bookings. If you see I am booked already or if you have multiple pet(s), I can sometimes work something out and fit you in. Last minute stays are hard to do when I am already booked, because I need to know in advance so I can open that slot for you on Rover. A MEET & GREET is required before your pup’s first booking. This way we can get to know each other and make sure we’re the best fit for them. ABOUT ME: Animals have been a huge part of my life and my family ever since I was a young girl. I've owned dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, bearded dragons, leopard geckos and many more 4 legged critters. Every animal that entered our home was considered part of the family. I’ve been a dog owner for over 20 years and have trained all my dogs on my own. I am certified for dog and cat first aid and CPR through the American Red Cross Association. I became a certified dog groomer in 2012 and have been grooming part time since then. Currently I am training our rescue puppy alongside our 5 year old rescue at home. Recently I have signed up at our local SPCA to be a foster mom for dogs, and my first foster case was a mama and her 7 four week old pups. It's a lot of work, but I love every minute of it! I look forward to meeting you and spending time with your four-legged child(ren)!

Did excellent with my dog diamond and will schedule again. I apologize for the tardiness of the rating.
Thank you vey much Shannon for taking good care of our Cali. We missed her so much during our vacation but the daily texts and pictures you sent comforted us to know that she was in excellent hands. We highly recommend you to our family and friends.
My golden retriever Emma stayed with Shannon and her two pups, Lily and Sheldon, for the first time this week (day care). Emma is very playful and I wanted her to have interaction with other dogs. Lily became her bestie and Emma came home exhausted, which is exactly what I wanted. Both Lily and Sheldon are super friendly. Shannon is extremely conscientious about the dogs, giving them pee and poop breaks hourly and providing a little report card on their activities. She has a big backyard and a house where the dogs can play in the large living room. No crates! Shannon is very responsive to messages and questions, and will provide updates and photos. I've already rebooked for additional day care and plan to set up a regular once-a-week schedule. Although I haven't booked an overnight stay, I will definitely do so in the future. Shannon is a great Rover sitter!
Our 2 year old Aussie is our "baby" and we are so happy to have found Shannon to take care of him when we have to go out of town! She kept us updated with info and pictures while he was there and you could tell he was happy to have doggie friends to play with. When we picked him up he was happy to see us but not stressed and anxious like the last place we left him. We have already let her know the tentative dates we will need her in the near future. Highly recommend her if you need to leave your pups.
