Hi, my name is Shannon and I am an avid animal lover. My family has owned dogs, cats, hamsters and guinea pigs since I was 8 years old. Currently, in my home, are two quirky 3-year-old pug brothers, one cuddly 10-year-old pug female, and the alpha of them all, a 12-year-old bichon-poodle mix. My fur babies are fed a specific diet, on a schedule, that includes supplements as well as medications. The 12-year-old male wears a diaper as he has a hard time (or chooses not to) control his bladder when in the home. It is checked and changed regularly. I walk the 3-year-old brothers 3-4 times a week, during cool weather, and have been successfully working on re-call, reactivity and pulling. I would love to be able to provide the same compassionate care to your fur babies as you see fit! I hope we are a good match and look forward to chatting more. Thank you!

Shannon was excellent with our dog, no problems with her stay which was 24 hour days for 10 days. Handled medications as well as walks 2/day. Highly recommend Shannon.
Shannon watched our two boys for a few hours while we were at a wedding and she did not disappoint! Both were fed, given all the water they needed, and had lots of supervised playtime! Right from booking, she was kind, attentive, and had the boys' best interests at heart. We even did a meet and greet beforehand and the boys loved her instantly! You can tell right away that Shannon loves animals and wants to do what's best for them. This was such a wonderful experience! I know how nerve-wracking it can be to trust others with your fur babies, but trust me, yours will be in great hands with Shannon! Her detailed report at the end of the evening was the best and really put us at ease :)
Just had our first dog-sitting with Shannon. She came to our place to care for Riley, who has some anxiety issues. Well we picked the perfect Dogsitter as Shannon and Riley hit it off excellently with each other. We now can finally have a social life again. Thank you so much Shannon. We know our furbaby is in great hands with you. Thank you again.
Shannon was absolutely amazing with our 3 dogs. They were very comfortable and attended to and Shannon was able to attend to all 3 different needs of our dogs. We will DEFINATELY utilize Shannon's services again for our three pets.

I will ensure your pet's water is changed regularly and that they do not have access to anything that could cause potential harm - fragrances, sprays, diffusers, foods etc. If your puppy is an avid chewer I will create a space that is as free as possible from any household objects that may look fun to bite on, while also keeping on eye on your fur baby at every moment possible to correct, remove or replace any non-puppy friendly toys. I will respond to your pets needs as required for bathroom breaks, meals and treats. I will clean/change litter or training pads as they become soiled. I will ensure your pet is provided any necessary medication as directed based on time and amount.

Please let me know if your dog has any specific dietary restrictions or requirements. As well, if there are any niches or faux-paws you are trying to keep an eye on/correct. Also, please let me know if your dog becomes easily triggered by things - quick movements, pets on a certain area of the body, scents, noises etc.
A typical day
I will make sure that I interact with your dog as much as they would allow! I like to walk them in neighborhoods that are familiar to them, unless you would like me to take them on adventures to new places. I love playing gentle tug-of-war, fetch, hide and seek and a chasing/being chased (as appropriate per dog) to keep them moving and active.

Availability
I currently work Monday-Friday from 8:35AM-2:45PM. I am available from 3:30PM-TBD Monday-Friday, as well as full weekend availability, and overnight if needed. I am a substitute teacher so I am also available every so often full days on Fridays and Mondays depending on DSBN schedule.
