Pet care experience
Hi! I have been taking care of pets since I was in the fifth grade, and have been the main caretaker for all family pets since that age. I have about five or so years of experience working professionally as a veterinary technician. During that time, I worked part time for a pet boarding facility, giving me plenty of experience walking and caring for pets of all sizes and personalities. I now work from home, allowing me the flexibility during the week to care for your pet!
Reviews
Shannon cared for our two beloved 14-year-old cats for three weeks. One required daily medication. She sent thoughtful reports and wonderful photos each day. And when a water sensor went off in the basement because of a bad storm, she messaged me immediately and provided the cat who needed soothing with a catnip pillow. We greatly value and recommend Shannon as a pet sitter. She is experienced, thoughtful, caring, and reliable! We will call upon her services in the future!
Shannon was absolutely wonderful to have watch our pup, and we would not hesitate to have her watch him again! She was very prompt with updates, anything that might come up, or any questions we may have had pertaining to care of our pup. Very professional and reliable, and our pup loves her!
Shannon is AMAZING. My cat even comes out for her and he always hides with company...he knows she's a good soul
Shannon was incredibly patient with my shy girl who needs meds. She was conscientious and took great care of my kitty. Gave me piece of mind while I was away.

Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I treat every pet as if they were my own. Even when I was at work, I spoke to pets in that (sometimes embarrassing) high pitched tone and always spent extra time comforting them while they’re in a strange new situation. My goal is to keep your fur baby company, ensuring that they are happy and well taken care of while you are gone.
Information Shannon G. would like to know about your pet
Please tell me all of your pet’s weird quirks! My dog has some very specific (and somewhat odd) anxieties and preferences, so I understand what it is like to own a “picky” pet. Also, please let me know of any medical problems that your pet has. I have experience taking care of animals who need daily medications (even insulin injections), so I would be able to take care of any medication administrations that may need to be done while you are away.
A typical day
There are plenty of fun hiking trails nearby me that I would love to take your pets to. There are even a few small parks for the older or less active dogs who still want a change of scenery! Even on rainy days where walks have to be a bit shorter, I will spend plenty of time playing with your pup indoors and making sure she is well taken care of and happy. With cats I mainly play with them, lounge with them, or help with brushing or other minor grooming (i.e. nail trims.) If your cat has a special favorite activity (or if your cat enjoys being walked outside), please let me know!

I work remotely and pick my own schedule, meaning I have plenty of time to drop by and walk your pup! I am also available for drop by services for cat, small animals, and reptiles!
