Paramedic-Pet Owner-Firefighter
Pet care experience
Like I said, I am a paramedic a pet owner and a firefighter which means I care for people pets and property. I have been a pet owner or assistant pet caretake for most of my life. I have owned snakes, turtles, fish, cats, and dogs. Prior to becoming a paramedic I worked at a veterinary clinic and multiple clients requested both pet sitting and house sitting outside of clinic hours, so I am no stranger to the work and no stranger to the care and trust it takes. I have experience administering medications to include fluids- in cats, dogs and humans- and I am comfortable with all kinds of animals: the old and the young (I have some training experience), the somewhat exotic or the pet-next-door types, the small and the very large (firefighters are strong), I have experience with and am comfortable with them all- I just ask that you give them the time they need to become comfortable with me before you have to leave- they'll miss you when your away and they deserve to feel safe until you get home. My fiancé and I have a deaf pit bull and a corgi and the three of them are the love of my life, and I would treat the love(s) of your life with the exact same care and love that I do mine, because I would want the same for mine.
Reviews
Shannon is personable, responsible, punctual, communicates well and genuinely cares. Our pets love her! We highly recommend her! 💯
Thank you for taking care of my fur baby! She was very happ
Came out last second and took care of my boy.
Shannon was amazing. We were out for about 5 days and she popped in twice a day to take our boys out, let them play and then feed them. She took it up on herself to Swiffer our floors as well so we wouldn't come back to a hair infested house. We are completely satisfied with her work and will use her again on our next vacation. Highly recommend

How I care for any clients pets only changes in terms of what their routine is. I will care with the same dedication but I am there to keep them comfortable by providing some normalcy when their owners are away. As for our dogs, we go on multiple daily walks in the neighborhood, and there is a large fenced dog park 10 minutes down the road. Our yard is not fenced and we went away from the invisible fence because it made our corgi really nervous, so we tether the kids to the trees in the yard if they want to sit outside for a little while, and keep a close watch on them from the porch. Our deaf pit bull sleeps in a crate and our corgi has a nook/bed built into a shelf -both in our room. We have a large basement where they run around, and an extra crate and plenty of space to either stay in the same room or allow a guest their personal alone time, it just depends on what the owner and the animal prefer. However, despite the extra room our dogs don't have experience with cats so I am happy to house sit and care for cats but I won’t stress an animal out and pretend that my dogs wouldn't be sniffing and barking at the closed door if a cat were to stay here.

Information Shannon F. would like to know about your pet
I like to know about their general demeanor and any past behavior(s) that I should be aware of or any the you wish to be deterred. Anything they enjoy or makes them uncomfortable and how they react around other dogs and people.
A typical day
We have a lot of hiking trails in our area and there is a really nice fenced dog park our dogs looooooove to go to. If it’s hot out there are a few places that give out doggie ice cream. Anything that gets them out and active.

Availability
I am currently working part-time and job seeking when I am not so I have a very flexible schedule and although my fiancé is still a firefighter and my schedule can change because of his availability, it is something I can plan for and work around weeks in advance.
