Pet care experience
I’ve always had animals my entire life. Cats, dogs, hamsters, birds, tree frogs and turtles held a special place in my heart as I grew up. As an adult, I have happily shared my home with cats and dogs. I absolutely adore animals and have been dubbed the dog charmer by my mother due to my ability to calm and cuddle with even the most hyper of dogs. Currently, I have 2 very spoiled kitties. I believe animals deserve to be treated with love, kindness, dignity and patience. I loved watching my kitties each grow into their individual personalities and I believe that they were able to do so because I allowed them each to be how and who they are without interfering. I don’t believe in disciplining animals harshly, it only creates fear. I believe in modifying destructive behavior by assessing WHY that behavior is presenting and learning what motivates each animal so I can use that as a tool to redirect the energy. I treat all animals in my care as if they were my own.
Reviews
Shannon took wonderful care of our dog, and left our house looking better than it was before she got there!! She provided updates without giving us cause to worry. A real pro!
Shannon was awesome!!!
Shannon was so great! My pup has very bad attachment issues and requires a lot of patience when meeting a new person. She really took the time to make sure Pepper felt comfortable and happy. She also communicated and shared lots of great pics. It was nice being able to travel for work and know I can relax.
Shannon was a great pet sitter. She went over and beyond her duties, sending me pics of her and Chai together and keeping me apprised daily putting me at ease that he was well taken care of. I highly recommend Shannon as an excellent pet sitter.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a secure apartment building. My cats get fed wet food twice a day and are able to graze dry food throughout the day. They have 3 litter boxes that are either contained or slightly covered. If I am sitting at a clients house, I will keep the routine and setup to the exact specifications told to me by their furrparents. It’s very helpful if I know when and how you do things, it helps me to minimize the stress on your animal.
Information Shannon E. would like to know about your pet
Medical needs—allergies, medicine, etc. Personality; are they nervous with new people? Are they food/toy aggressive? Do they play well with other dogs? Do they like cats? Do they have a specific routine? Like when are they fed, walked/let out, etc.
A typical day
Nature hikes! I live right next to the Wissahickon trails, the blue bell entrance, so doggies will burn a lot of their energy exploring the trails with me.

Availability
I’m a graphic designer who works from home. I can easily pick up and go for overnights as long as I have internet access. I work 9-5 Monday thru Friday. If I’m not already booked, I’m free to do drop ins or walks on my lunch break. I am very laid back and understanding that things come up and you may need someone last minute; if I’m available, I’d be happy to help. Just reach out, I’m more than happy to see how I can help.
