My name is Shannon and I grew up with pets from a young age and even have experience training my pups. About a decade ago, I began my dogsitting journey by dogsitting for neighbors on a daily basis. This entailed walking, feeding, playing, and snuggling with the pup. I have experience working with shelter dogs who exhibit skittish behavior- they always manage to warm up to me. :) I then joined Rover in May 2017 and began doing drop-ins/walks initially. Since the Fall of 2018, I've been consistently house/dogsitting and have been absolutely loving it! I always make sure the house is spic and span before you get home. Animals that I've sat for include dogs, cats, and chickens (even baby chicks!). And I'm open to caring for other critters as well. I am happy to bring in your mail and water your plants too. :) Update: I adopted a male shih tzu mix, Pepper, in April 2023. He will most likely be accompanying me in my dogsitting stays. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations and does well with most dogs.
