My name is Shannon Pirtle Coleman. I am 54 years old and I am a native of Louisville, Kentucky. I am married and have 3 children (2 boys and a girl) and 2 grandkids (grandson and granddaughter). I grew up in a suburb of Louisville (Prairie Village) where my family had many dogs over the years. My father, John A. Pirtle, Sr., had many bird dogs that he would take hunting. Our family dog was a Poodle named Mimi. I have always had great love for dogs. Dogs I feel are not possessions, but part of the family. I feel if people can’t treat dogs as part of their family, they shouldn’t own one. I understand that “life happens” and sometimes people need to get away on vacations or even emergency situations where they are not able to take their dogs with them. So that is why I decided to be a dog sitter to help people have peace of mind while they are gone. I will acclimate anyone’s dog into my home and treat them as if they were my very own. They would receive much love and attention. Plus, I would adhere to whatever special needs they may have as dogs are very much like people. I want their owners to feel at peace knowing that their dog(s) are in good hands. I am looking forward to this new adventure and meeting your “fur baby”.
