Dog, Cat, Rabbit, & Exotics Care ❤️
Pet care experience
Hello there! My name is Shannon and I am a lifelong animal lover. I enjoy interacting with and providing care for any and all types of animals. I have been a pet sitter for most of my life, providing daytime visits/walks and vacation check-ins, or even house and dog sitting for weeks at a time. I also have years of wildlife-related animal healthcare and veterinary experience. I am comfortable with medication administration, and I have specialized experience caring for free-roam domestic rabbits in addition to cats and dogs. I currently have a senior cat and am “auntie” to two rambunctious dogs. I have also owned multiple rabbits, dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, fish, and amphibians over the years!

I highly recommend Shannon. She did an amazing job. I received daily updates with photos. I came home to very happy animals and a very clean home. Thank you very much Shannon for all the love and affection you shared with my pets.
My pup is reactive to strangers and it takes him sometime to warm up. Shannon has been incredible and I have no doubt they will be besties very soon!!

Safety, trust & environment
I love meeting new animals and discovering their unique personalities and likes/dislikes. I cater activities, stimulation levels, and the places we visit (as applicable) to your pets’ needs. (See below for examples!). Of course I will also check on your pets’ food and water, refresh as needed, and give you updates on their well-being. I can administer medications according to your pets’ needs and their veterinarian’s directions. I primarily speak English, but I’m working on my French, and I will do my best to communicate with you in French if you prefer! Thanks for reading, and I look forward to meeting both you and your furry (and non-furry) loved ones :)
Information Shannon C. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know more about: your pets' likes and dislikes; any sensitivities they have (toward people, other animals, certain sounds, etc).; if they have favorite treats, snacks, toys, or rewards; and their typical daily routine for exercise/play/pee breaks/food and snack times/etc.
A typical day
Dogs -- depending on personality, we might visit the dog park to socialize and free-play, take a solo walk in the park or neighborhood, or have exercise time in your yard / playtime in your home. Cats -- I love providing new types of enrichment to encourage play, offering gentle love and snuggles when a cat is comfortable, or even supervising outdoor time (if allowed and desired). Rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small mammals -- I enjoy building a bond and gradually earning your furry one’s trust and affection. I might offer veggies or treats, provide enrichment and opportunities for play, groom and trim nails (if your pet is comfortable), and change out litter areas and bedding. I can also monitor health signs to alert you if there are changes indicative of health issues (e.g., gut stasis).

Availability
I moved to the West Island from the United States a few years ago, and right now I have a very flexible schedule. I can offer walks and play dates throughout the day and in the evening, and I can provide care overnight in your home (I can’t currently offer care at my home, due to my feisty cat). I can also take care of your plants, trash removal, etc if you’re going to be away for more than a day.
