Hello! I am an animal lover knowledgeable in all kinds of animals. I grew up with dogs and an occasional puppy, and have taken care of plenty of other people’s pets as well including cats, birds, lizards, and horses since I was a young kid. Essentially most of my life has been around animals! I also enjoy doing many different activities with animals, and if I haven’t done it before, I’m willing to try so that your pet can get the best enrichment possible!

Shannon was a gift to us for five full days. We had a last-minute cancellation from our usual friend of the family who watches my dog Gatsby and my cat nova, in desperation, we turned to Rover, and we found Shannon. Shannon made herself available to meet Gatsby and nova before we had to leave, with pretty much one day notice. She was kind, attentive, and super informative with every check in. Gatsby and nova love her and now, so do we! Will absolutely be booking with Shannon again, and could not recommend her more.!
Shannon is hands down the best dog sitter you will find! We were away from our pups over a week and were comforted knowing of what excellent care they were under. From the first meet down to the last walk Shannon had our pets ( and ours ) best interests in mind. With great communication and flexibility that allowed us to enjoy our vacation, Shannon kept us updated with messages and pictures the whole time. It is very hard to find someone that truly cares for your fur-babies just as you would and Shannon did exactly that. I had Shannon pet sit our cat Salem for 5 days while we were away on vacation. She's a nervous cat but she warmed up to Shannon very quickly! Shannon shared photos with us throughout our trip and kept us updated on how she was doing regularly since this was our first big trip away from our cat. She also made sure to reach out if she had any questions about anything regarding Salem which was extremely reassuring! She is always welcome to pet sit for us in the future, especially since Salem adores her!
I have known Shannon for at least 5 years and in those years, she has proven herself as a responsible, caring individual. Anytime she is with her own pets or with other's pets, she is attentive to their needs and ensures they are happy too. If I had to ask someone to look after my pets on vacation or while I'm away for work, she is one of the first people I would ask.

As I cannot board at my own home, I would have to come to your location. I would take the upmost precaution to make sure everything is kept neat and tidy in your home, and should something come up I would contact you immediately. Would always lock doors when leaving and follow any and all instructions given! I would hate to be the reason for something to go wrong in your home, and would treat it with the respect I give my own home.

Please let me know about any behavioral issues, and how you would like me to handle them, before I care for your pet. This includes things they like to chase, if they’re known to pick things they’re not supposed to, if they like to pull on the leash, etc. I’d also like to know what they do or don’t like, so that I can make sure they’re as happy as possible!
A typical day
I want to make sure your dog is stimulated and having fun! I’d love to take your dog on exciting walks, and willing to go anywhere for a little bit of excitement. A good walk for the dog is a good walk for me! If a walk is not what you want for you dog, or if you have a cat, I’ll be happy to play with them at home in whatever way they enjoy playing!

I currently have a part time job on a farm, but when I am not there I have plenty of time to visit your home to take care of your pets and/or take them on walks! I am willing to take care of any animal you need care for! Not just dogs and cats.
