Hi I'm Shannon! I am an avid dog lover and I grew up with two dogs - Labrador and pug. I have worked as a dog walker in Chicago for several years, so I know what it takes to help a dog feel comfortable around a stranger and make it a priority to keep a clients home and dog safe and secure. I am great with dogs of all breeds, ages, and size. One of my strengths with dogs is I know how to provide a calm atmosphere when they may be anxious with new people or spaces. I love getting to board dogs at my home because I have plenty of space, I live close to several parks and places to walk, and I have a fenced in outdoor area with a dog run just outside my door. My home is dog friendly and it is quiet, which is helpful for a nervous dog in a new place. When I walk dogs I can provide anything from a slow and steady walk for elderly dogs, to taking your dog for a jog to burn off some energy. I have walked all kinds of dogs before and I can handle a dog is any situation - dogs who pull on the leash, dog who are triggered on the street and may lunge or bark, slow dog who need patience and encouragement, anxious dogs, etc. I am always respectful when having to go to a clients home for a drop in visit or an overnight stay. I am happy to give frequent updates to you know your home and your dog are safe. When having to visit a residence, safety and security are always my top priority.
