Dog mom, will treat yours as my own
Pet care experience
Hi there! I’m Shannon and I’m probably the biggest dog and cat lover that you’ll ever meet! Yes, I’m the person who will stop in the middle of the sidewalk to admire and coo over every sweet pupper I cross paths with (much to my boyfriends embarrassment)! I just love them all, and they bring such joy to my heart. I’ve been working from home full-time since March 2020 and realizing that I really need a change of scenery from time to time! So, I'm getting back into pet sitting and walking so I can meet and love on precious pups and kitties while also bringing in a little extra dough to fully spoil my own sweet babies! 💜 I can’t wait to meet you and your fur baby and ensure they have a wonderful staycation while you’re away and help you to be worry-free! Additionally, I’m experienced with basic dog training skills (sit, stay, come, leave it, drop it, lay down, etc.) and for an added cost, I would be happy to work with your dog on any or all of these training commands during my time with them. If you’re interested in this add-on, please let me know and we can discuss a schedule to suit their needs.
Reviews
Shannon is the best! She goes above and beyond
Shannon is an exceptional dog sitter who I highly recommend to anyone without hesitation and who I will continue to use for all my dog sitting needs. Not only is she responsive, punctual, organized, communicative, friendly and detailed-oriented, but she is also extremely skilled with working with dogs (particularly my dog, Luna, who to date has not been that well trained). Shannon went above and beyond by spending time teaching Luna a few new commands while I was gone (amazingly she taught my extremely food-motivated dog to wait patiently to eat her dinner until she was given permission--a trait that I had never been able to master on my own). After spending five days with Luna, Shannon became very familiar with Luna's individual personality and needs, and was able to use her experience with dogs to provide with me some tips and suggestions for attending to my Luna's particular personality--something that, as a first-time new dog owner, I greatly welcomed and appreciated! Further, I could tell Luna felt very comfortable with Shannon--Luna showed no hesitation in showing Shannon affection. Shannon also took excellent care of my apartment while I was gone (leaving it cleaner than I left it!), and even went above and beyond by shoveling some snow on my property after a big snow storm. I highly recommend Shannon and am very happy that I have found a go-to dog sitter for Luna.
Very kind and communicative. I felt very comfortable having Shannon visit my home and take care of my little girl!
Shannon is really great and I always feel comfortable having her watch our cats. She’s attentive and kind and my pets warmed up to her which is a relief when you need a pet sitter.

Safety, trust & environment
While walking and caring for your pets at your home, I am always attentive to their needs and yours. For example, we can adhere to your typical daily routine. I will ensure they will be comfortable and safe while outdoors (adding a doggy sweater if it's chilly or bringing a doggy water bottle if it's hot, etc.). I will be sure to send you photos periodically so you can check in on them and be assured they are happy and healthy.
Information Shannon B. would like to know about your pet
Some of the things I'd like to know about your pup in advance include: - What is his/her daily routine? Wake up and need to go out by a certain hour, fed by a certain hour, etc.? - What level and kind of activity or exercise does s/he need and want? - Does s/he have any anxieties or fears I should be aware of to help mitigate and prevent, such as loud noises, thunderstorms, etc.? - Is s/he house trained (no pottying indoors)? - Is s/he well-trained with other basic commands? If so, what does s/he know well and what commands is s/he less responsive to? - Any special needs with medication or care?
A typical day
Depending on your pup's activity level, we can go on shorter neighborhood walks followed by play time at home (for older, injured or less active dogs), or we can go for longer walks on the Southwest Corridor, Emerald Necklace, or even a hike on the weekend!
