Pet care experience
Hello! I love cats and dogs, really all animals, and have always seen my pets as part of my family. I've had years of experience with several sweet cats and dogs of my own. We've always rescued and found the best furry friends. For the last 7 years, I've cared for 2 sweet labs with frequent walks, meals, tuck-in service (bedtime kongs), and general cuddle puddles several days a week. I cat and dog sit for several neighbors and family members and have been doing so consistently for the last 10 years. My home is "beach cozy" (translation: small), so it's best suited for all cats and small-medium-sized dogs that enjoy getting out for walks. If you have a senior dog or cat that needs extra TLC or a quieter home, no kids, no other pets, etc., I am happy to provide a safe, comfy space!

I am so thankful to Shannon for taking care of little Xena. Shannon was so sweet sent me pictures of Xena having fun and sent me messages on how the day and evening went. I felt so safe knowing she was there. I will definitely call Shannon to babysit Xena. I definitely recommend her.
Shannon was a wonderful caregiver for Dumbles! He is a bit of a handful—anxious around new people (pandemic puppy) and also still very feisty and full of energy. Shannon wasn't phased at all by my worries about Dumbles and it was clear from just meeting her that her low-key energy made Dumbles comfortable right away. Honestly, it was embarrassing how quickly he just headed off to her car with her without a second glance at us, haha! Shannon did a great job communicating with us and sending us photos of Dumbles looking happy with her - snuggling in her bed, asking for treats, going on walks, and generally looking very much at home with her. She was responsive to texts and Rover messages, and was very flexible with her time (we switched up to having her deliver him back to us rather than us picking him up and she was like "no problem!"). Mostly, it was clear that she loved having Dumbles, and Dumbles loved staying with her. We hope all of our dogsitters are as wonderful as Shannon. Thank you, Shannon! May we meet again!

I like to know everyone's meal, walk, and typical potty schedule. Especially the first and last walks of the day. I find our pets are often pretty regimented about their schedule, even if their humans don't realize it! I like to keep them happy, and knowing their routine helps. Let me know if your pet has any special needs, I'm happy to ensure they are well taken care of. I love to hear about favorite toys and activities.
A typical day
For the pups I like to let them burn off some extra energy, sniff and explore, and enjoy a good walk through grass and leaves with all the fun smells. We've got a great boardwalk and greenbelt through Seal Beach that provides lots of walking paths while watching squirrels chase each other! Endless entertainment :) For cats, it's really up to them as we all know. They run the show. So maybe a game of feather chasing, mouse on a string, or whatever makes them happy!
