Pet care experience
Hi pet parents! I have had pets my whole life, I had a cat before I could walk, and an English setter (high-drive breed) from 13. I also have had a range of odd pets like a chinchilla, gerbils, reptiles etc. I’ve helped my university roommates raise various dog breeds (Doberman/german shepherd mix, pug, frenchie, daschund) and I have extensive experience with dog training and taking care of sick pets (including giving medications and injections daily). I currently own two cats (oriental shorthair) who are my world, but unfortunately they don’t get to leave the apartment so I would love a good reason to get outside more with your furry friend! My boyfriend’s dog is quite shy around new people but she got along great with Shannen! They go on long walks to the dog park or in nature and she comes home a very happy pup. Now she gets excited whenever she sees Shannen because she knows it’s time to go on an adventure!

Unfortunately I have cats at home so I would only be able to dog or cat sit in your home, but I believe that allows your pet to be comfortable in a familiar environment and allows me to adapt to their schedule rather than the other way around. I can work with your routine as long as you provide clear instructions. I am happy to send as many updates as you wish throughout the stay as well.

It’s always important to know what boundaries each dog has, their comfort with new people, interest and compatibility with other dogs and of course any allergies or treat restrictions that they may have. Everything else I’m sure we can figure out as we get to know each other. I’m just excited to make new furry friends!
A typical day
I have the privilege to work from home, so I wake up and feed my cats and sit with them at my desk all day. I am starting to miss having a dog and I could use an excuse to go outside for long walks, so I think that this is the perfect mutually beneficial opportunity for me and my flexible work schedule.

I am currently between work contracts and I typically work from home so I have a very flexible schedule. I can be available between 8am - 7pm most days and I am happy to work around your needs.
