Hello! I’m Shannen & I work at a family-owned vet clinic in Greeley, so it’s safe to say animals are my biggest passion! I have a 9-year-old Pomeranian named Kora who is the love of my life, so I completely understand how stressful it is to trust your babies will receive the same level of love & care as you provide them with someone else. I’m used to every kind of animal, big & small. I also live with a senior Scottish-Terrier mix and a Corgi/Heeler puppy, so I’m prepared for any level of energy! I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life ranging from Boxers, Bulldogs, Jack Russell Terriers, Poodles, Newfies, Pit Bulls, and Chihuahuas! I am slightly allergic to cats, so I cannot hang out with them too long, but still willing to discuss! Also limited experience with exotics such as lizards, hamsters, guinea pigs, rodents, & birds - please ask! I’d love to help any way I can and hope to make some pet needs easier for my fellow pet parents ♥️

Great attention and care for my boys special needs. And Shannen made sure to give him lovies and make sure he didn't get bored.
Shannen was great to work with. Easy communication. Obvious love for pets. Sent pictures to our son. Watered the garden and left the house very clean. Will certainly use Shannen again for house/pet sitting.
She is an amazing dog sitter! We don’t like leaving our dogs but this one weekend we had to and she made us feel fully comfortable. Her expertise working with animals made us more comfortable and she sent us updates throughout! Being that we have two rescue dogs, they come with surprises and it’s always a different one but she did everything she could to make them fully comfortable and has babies of her own, so she understands! Would highly recommend her to watch your babies!
Shannen is the best doggy sitter! I am new to the “dog mom” community, and Shannen shared a tremendous amount of knowledge about dogs that made me feel more confident with my pups. She watches our 2 month old Great Dane and 3 month old Shihpoo, who absolutely ADORE her; they have the best time with her. She is extremely responsive and sends frequent updates/pictures throughout the day. Shannen is also very accommodating with drop offs/pick ups - we are grateful to have found someone who loves our little guys!

I am trained in the art of “extremely confusing harnesses”, as well as having access to slip-leads and waist walkers for the more energetic kiddo’s until they get used to me. My clinic also specializes in fear-free practices, so earning your pet’s trust will be my first priority before taking them out of their comfort zone. I’m comfortable with high energy, low energy, or any special needs your baby may require.

Anything I can do to earn your pet’s trust is most appreciated - any details like places they don’t like to be touched (paws, rear, face), skittishness towards loud noises or fast movements, the amount of affection they like to receive. I’m prepared for any medication schedule or food restrictions. I have background in vet medicine, so I’m very familiar in diagnoses, treatments, and medications! (I am NOT a veterinarian, but I have their phone numbers if needed!) ♥️
A typical day
I will play for hours with your hyper pup or cuddle on the couch with your lazy pup. I am up for games of tug-o-war, fetch, water activities, bird watching, anything that your kiddo enjoys (unfortunately not very good at running). I’m very patient and love allowing dogs to sniff around & enjoy their walks (safely!) Also lots of pets and kisses if they like that too! Firm handshakes if they don’t!

Availability
I am currently part-time, so my days are much more flexible, including weekends. I am open to coming to your home anytime and staying overnight as well, if needed! I’m in search of a place with a bigger yard, so daycare at my home will be available soon!
