Pet care experience
I am a certfied therapy dog trainer with one trained therapy animals in my house. I have extensive background in working with rescue dogs and rehabilitation of dogs. While I do prefer that the pets I care for in my home are not animal aggressive, I am not phased by working with them outside of my home. I have cared for and watched other pets for almost 15 years. I enjoy working with all types of animals and would love to make sure that your pets are as loved when you are away as they are when you are home. I don’t mind mild medical needs and I want to make sure that you will be comfortable leaving your pets in my care. Please contact me if you would like more information.

Koda's stay with Shanna was better than my expectation! He was happy and loved with all the comforts of home! Shanna shared great updates, photos and video of Koda. I was able to rest assured very early in our 10 day vacation that Koda would not only be well taken care of but he would also be loved and happy while we were away. That meant the world to me because Koda is precious to me. I waited 10 years to get a Rhodesian (my dream dog) to be able to be the best companion to him. He is worth the wait!! So I only want the best for him and I found that in Shanna!
Shea is an elderly golden retriever than needs a calm and quiet environment when I am travelling. She requires medication twice a day and it's always nice to travel when I leave her with Shanna. Shanna is always good at keeping records and sending me photos on a daily basis. She's also always willing to facetime when I need to see my dog. Shanna is never afraid to have people over to meet her dog, Ozzy and see her home. Ozzy and Shea get along well and she enjoys being able to play with the much younger dog when she's staying with them. When I leave for short visits, I usually have Shanna visit my house 2-3 times a day so she can check on my house and pick up my mail for me. During the weekends when I have to work, I usually have Shanna come by and walk Shea for me as well. I know that when I leave, whether it's for an extended time (2-3 weeks) or for a short period (1-2 days) I can count on Shanna to treat Shea like part of the family.
Shanna watches my blind/deaf mixed puppy when I have to go out of town. Duncan always comes home with his tail wagging and I always know that she is providing the best care for him. I've had her watch him about 4 times in the past 3 months and each time he enjoys being able to go play with her dog and I travel knowing that my baby is well taken care of.

A typical day
I generally walk in either Gilbert at the Reserve area (Higley and Guadalupe). I also play extensive games in the back yard 4-5 times a day. I have an Australian Shepherd so I try and keep my dog worn out with both mental and physical exercise. In warmer weather I have a pool set up that I play with the dogs in as well.
