Pet care experience
I started working at a veterinary clinic when I was 16 as a kennel assistant and worked my way into being a veterinary assistant. After earning a bachelor's in poultry science, I am now in veterinary technician school and working in the ICU/ER at an emergency/specialty veterinary clinic in Charlotte. My skills are tested and I learn new things every day. i work 5 days a week with every weekend off. I know basic dog/cat CPR and am knowledgeable in caring for healthy and sick pets. My husband and I absolutely love animals and will treat yours like our own! We both enjoy dog kisses and dog snuggles, as those are the perfect way to start our day. Although we work during the day, we are usually available every weekend for some extra kids.

I couldn't be happier with how Milo was treated while staying with Shanna. She loved him like her own and he looked so happy and relaxed in the photos that she sent during his stay. Milo made friends with her dog and had so much fun playing with her for the weekend. I will definitely use Shanna again for a dog sitter!
Shanna is a wonderful person who has spent her whole life dedicated to animals. She is a wonderful dog mom, she is knowledgeable, and has worked in a veterinary hospital for years! I let her pet sit my own fur children! She is responsible and has the perfect set up with a spacious house and a fenced in back yard! She would be the perfect pet sitter regardless of how intense your fur babies needs are!
Shanna was an awesome pet sitter! She kept our miniature dachshund while we took a 7 day cruise and made sure to keep in touch throughout the week. Paisley cuddled right up to her and became her best friend. You can tell she has a huge heart for animals. We will definitely be using her again!!
Shanna is wonderful with our doodle Trump when we are out of town. We never worry or are concerned. We love the updates and pictures she sends us while we are gone. Trump enjoys her dogs company as well, it's like a built in play date! Thanks for being so amazing!!!

Breed, temperament, and age are important to know for planning activities. I do not have any specific breed preferences but I do prefer medium to large size dogs. Any aggression issues are important to know as well.
A typical day
I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room to run and play! I live less than 20 minutes away from Dan Nicholas Park, a nature park with over 300 acres and plenty of nature trails for walking. There are also several dog parks in the area around my house.
