Dog-Mom Sitting Service!
Pet care experience
I’ve been the primary full-time caretaker for my three dogs for about 8 years now as well as our family of 5 Guinea pigs. I have extensive experience with crate training, leash training, and positive behavior management techniques. I have worked diligently with my dog Link who was rescued from an abusive home to overcome his fear and separation anxiety, and have trained our youngest pup, Frida, from her puppy days. I am the go-to animal sitter for my family and friends and have experience caring for other peoples’ pets for about 12 years now. My pet-care experience is not limited to dogs. I consistently check-in on my parents’ sickly and elderly cat while they go on their frequent road trips. His care needs have made me comfortable administering a variety of medications to animals. I love pets of all kinds—pet sitting for reptiles, rodents, as well as cats and dogs are all available with my service, and I have experience working closely with each. Please message me for special care rates for pets other than cats & dogs. I especially love sitting for multi-pet homes so that I get to know and love on as many animals as possible!! While not pet-care related, the cost of your house sitting booking with me also includes plant care, daily mail/package collection, moving trash/recycle bins to & from the curb, and light vacuuming in the main areas of your home if you have a super-shedder! I love to make your return home as stress-free as possible and to leave your home better than I found it. If there is some other non-pet care house-sitting task you’d be interested in having me take care of for you, all you have to do is ask!
Reviews
Shanna is amazing with our 3 dogs. She always leaves our house better than she finds it. The best part is all the pics she shares of them while we are away. We would definitely recommend Shanna!
Shanna was amazing with our dog! My husband and I were nervous after having family members watching him and telling us he is too high energy but we heard nothing from good things about him with Shanna. We will 100% be using her in the future.
Had a fantastic experience with Shanna. We came home to happy dogs and a clean house. She went above and beyond and we will definitely book her again!
I highly recommend Shanna as a pet sitter. She is a very responsible individual and has a genuine love for all dogs. I have known Shanna for 19 years and have seen her enteract with many dogs. She is gentle, kind and very knowledgeable.

My main service offering is house sitting because I am passionate about giving pets a stress-free experience while their families are away for multiple days. I am a very calm but affectionate pet-lover and will always care for your pet in a way that makes him/her feel safe and loved while you are away. I work to build trust with new animals using positive reinforcement, and do not push them to love me before they are ready. I am very familiar with dog body language cues, and I use the information your pets give me to care for them that makes them feel comfortable and at-ease. I want their time away from you to feel as normal and safe as possible!
Information Shanna C. would like to know about your pet
Before I meet a dog, I really like to know their temperament — energetic, shy, nervous, rambunctious, welcoming, slow-to-warm-up, etc. That gives me an idea of how I should greet them, especially at our Meet-and-Greet and my first couple of visits. Health issues and problem behaviors are also good to have on my radar just so that I can be proactive rather than reactive if something comes up during a stay.
A typical day
I really love to play with any dogs I sit--fetch, frisbee, tug-of-war! I also try to spend lots of time outside when the weather is nice, either taking walks or playing in the yard. I find it really rewarding to do training exercises, but honestly I mostly live for the pupper snuggles and face-licks!!

Availability
As a high school teacher, I do not work summers, so I will be available to pet-sit with an almost unlimited schedule throughout the summer months. I look forward to meeting your pet care needs! During the school year I am able to check on your babies before and after my own work schedule (7:30am-3:30pm). I love early mornings and have a fairly flexible schedule in the evenings to customize to what your animals need. When my school year gets too busy to fully meet the pet care needs of clients, I temporarily mark my settings as “away”. It is always my priority to give the best care possible to my clients, so if I feel that I will be unable to provide what they need, I do not accept booking requests for that season.
