Shanna & Sean's Happy Dog Care
Pet care experience
*Accepted hours for drop offs/pick ups: 9AM -9PM *Daily updates generally go out between 2-6PM Hello! My name is Shanna, and my husband Sean and I would be happy to love your pet while you're away. We've each had pets our entire life, and I personally have provided animal, house, and child sitting services since I was able to drive. We have a super lovey full size, 1 year old rescue, Winter. She's very calm and sweet as can be, and loves to socialize. She is great with dogs of all sizes, and humans of all ages. We have plenty of extra toys, bowls, and beds- all we ask is you bring their regular food/meds/vitamins so we can keep those tummies in good shape. No drop offs before 9AM, we are generally still getting thru everyone's morning routines until about 8:30 or so, and to give your dog(s) the time and attention they need to get settled in upon arrival, we can't throw them into the crazy. Evening drop offs are welcome, up to 9 PM. Potty break/meal schedule is entirely flexible on our end, we try and match what they're accustomed to at home to make it as easy as possible on them. Dogs are always under supervision while here, both indoors and out. If for any reason I need to step out for an errand, all dogs will be seperated for safety (we have extra large heavy duty play pens for this reason, and will also use them during meal time to prevent food aggression). This area is also under 24/7 video surveillance. For the safety of you, myself and our furry house guests, at no time will access be permitted inside our home during drop off/pick up. That is a safety risk and liability to all, and for that reason we will not accommodate home tours or inside visitation at any time. All pick up/drop offs will be conducted in the driveway or fenced yard areas, all areas are under video surveillance. I send a daily text update each afternoon with photos (generally between 2-6PM), but if I have a question or concern, or your pup seems off in any way, I will reach out immediately by calling then following up with text if not able to reach you directly. I do not carry my phone on me the majority of the day (you would be surprised at how many devices have been broken by over excited dogs 😂). I do check my device at regular intervals though, generally every few hours. I will respond to any inquiries once back to my device. Meet and greets really don't give a good indication on dogs overall temperament and behavior; pups act so differently without their humans, especially when taken out of their normal environment. I switched to trial stays only over a year ago, and it's worked really well. Gives me a chance to fully evaluate the dog during play time, meals, and overnight. It also helps the dogs get used to our home and schedule and they know what to expect when they come back so nerves aren't as high for the longer stays. You are welcome to book a single night stay as a trial run on any day the calendar shows availability. Plenty of room to run and play, inside and out, and always under supervision! We have 1 fenced acre (standard height chain link) in the back, and a dedicated play room inside just for the big pups. Our smaller friends have their very own fenced area, about an 1/8 of an acre, combination of privacy fence/chain link, and they share the main living room with us for their safe play zone. We do not have doggy doors to the exterior in any areas, pups will only be outside with either Sean or myself present. We do have extra large dog crates/kennels inside so we can keep everyone seperated for meal safety - so if your furry pal is crate trained (or practicing crate training), we can accommodate that easily without you needing to bring yours from home. We're fine with all breeds and ages, but will not accept dogs that show aggression towards us or our pups for safety concerns, or any dogs with infections or illness that could spread to others. If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to ask! Please note, we do take up to 4 families dogs at one time, and chances are high that your dog may be exposed to new friends while here (always introduced in a 1 on 1 environment to gauge personality fits before bringing into group play). Dogs under 30 pounds will not ever cross with a larger dog while here. If your pup gets anxiety when meeting new dogs, please let me know. If your dog does great at the dog park, they will thrive here! Loose animals will not be accepted, you must bring them with their collar and leash for safe transit between your vehicle and our home. Dog beds will NOT be accepted, we have plenty here, and in a multi dog situation we do not want to risk having another pup mark on or scratch up your belongings. If you want to bring a comfort item from home, a towel or sheet that can easily be laundered/replaced is the best bet! Thank you for your understanding! ***BY CONFIRMING ANY BOOKING, YOU ARE CERTIFYING THAT ALL VACCINATIONS FOR YOUR PET(S) ARE CURRENTLY UP TO DATE, BOARDETELLA VACCINE IS NOT REQUIRED BUT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED***

Information Shanna B. would like to know about your pet
Need to know any medications they're on, and any special concerns. How much you give each meal, and if they're allowed to have our house treats or on limited diet.
A typical day
Fetch/Kickball is a favorite around here! We have tons of balls and frisbees for them to chase, when they're not chasing each other around of course. Indoors we have a supply of kong toys, balls, etc. I tend to let everyone outside for a sunshine break every few hours during the day to get some energy out, unless it's bad weather outside (then we limit to potty breaks only)

Shanna can host
Availability
I do work full time, but I am completely remote, and my hours are flexible, so I am available for as many potty breaks or snuggles as needed throughout the day.
