Pet care experience
I've been taking care of friends' pets for the last three years, and am also devoted to my senior cat, Yoda. I am organized and communicative, and I enjoy taking care of senior pets. Being a supportive and thoughtful pet caregiver is such a pleasure for me! I learned Pet First Aid and CPR through the American Red Cross and both Yoda and I have been trained in pet assisted therapy through the Peninsula Humane Society and Mission Hospice. Prior to our time together, I will learn about your pet's personality, routine, medications, and special needs, and ensure all guidelines of care are followed while your pets are in my care. In addition, I send you photos and/or videos to keep you updated. I am available for housesitting requests with advanced notice. I treat your home with respect and thorough care. Shanley did such a great job with my dog, Alfie! Alfie can be nervous and shy around strangers when I’m not around and Shanley was very patient with him and took great care of him!
We have had Shanley come over for drop in visits regularly over the last few weeks. She has been wonderful with Misty, trusted, respectful and communicative. Her first visit, we had a bit of a snafu (completely our fault), and she handled it with grace and calmness (she was way more calm than me and I appreciated that!). We are so thankful we found her and we welcome her to “Team Misty!”
Shanley was wonderful with our 8 month old bernadoodle! This was our first experience with Rover with our first dog ever. She had great communication throughout the experience, was super responsive and reliable, and even shared pictures and updates from her walks. We're lucky to have Shanley nearby to help us care for our puppy when work or trips come up. Thank you!
Our experience with Shanley was nothing short of amazing! She was our very first Rover/pet sitter experience. We are so thankful to have found her. She sat our 130lb Irish Wolfhound, Lando, at our house for two days. Shanley was very attentive to Lando’s schedule and took excellent care of him. She updated us on how he was doing, sent pictures, and always responded very quickly. We saw her a few days later so she could meet our other dogs, and Lando was over the moon to see her again! We definitely plan to use her for future trips
