Pet care experience
I have cared for animals since I was in grade school. I got my first puppy when I was 12 and have cared for pets of friends and family ever since. I have worked in animal rescue where I learned about animal behavior and handling, veterinary medicine where I gained CPR and other emergency medicine skills. I have worked in an ICU setting and am very comfortable providing medication to animals of all kinds. I have experience with cats, dogs, some large animals like goats as well as small exotic and pocket pets. I have experience training pets using positive reinforcement techniques and have worked with pets of all ages.

Shanisty is one of the kindest most genuine people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not only did she take great care of my little guy she even gave him a bath and sent tons of pictures at my request. 15 / 10 shan can take care of Jack for as long as she would like amd is able.
Shanisty has watched my pets several times and with 5 dogs and 4 cats, having someone watch my animals in my home is necessary. She always makes sure that she knows how much food to give, and any medications and asks about their behavior concerns. Such as separation anxiety. Once while she was watching my animals, one had a medical need and she informed me immediately about the issue, and took my dog to the vet to get him the care that he needed. She updated me on what the vet advised, and luckily it was only minor as I was several states away. I even have a dog that goes crazy when Shanisty comes over and he whines for her to pet him. Jack, Chicken, Waffles, Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Lucky, Hemi, Einstein, and Ada all love Shanisty and I would never have anyone else watch our pets. I know when I leave them with Shanisty they are in good hands, and I do not have to worry about them while I'm gone.

I have a pet of my own who tends to accompany me on visits, especially overnight stays. He is a year old Dachshund puppy who is very friendly and playful with dogs and cats alike. I also have a son who is in grade school who likes to help with loving on and playing with the animals when scheduling allows. I have treats and toys I clean after every visit that I can bring to help provide enrichment for your pets if needed.

I do have a dog of my own who does not do well with separation so he comes with me for overnight stays but I can kennel or otherwise keep him separated. If your pets are not comfortable with new friends I can leave him home for drop-ins or walks as needed.
A typical day
I have a ball thrower for dogs who enjoy fetch as well as a growing collection of treat puzzles for nose exercise. If possible I prefer walks through parks or hiking trails where there is less vehicle traffic and I think the dogs enjoy it more as well.

I am currently working as a pet sitter and do some food deliveries to supplement my income. I have plenty of time to spend with pets who need a little extra attention and care.
