Hello! My name is Shanique. I’ve had a passion for animals since I was a child and have always known that I wanted to make working with animals my career. I walk dogs and do sittings full time and I love it! This is where my heart is and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I’ve had an internship at the animal clinic of long Island City, Volunteer at the Animal Care Center of Manhattan, and have worked as a receptionist at an animal clinic. I truly enjoy working with animals and want them to have the best experience while walking with me or spending a few days with me being their company while you're away. ***IMPORTANT PLEASE READ*** * Housesitting includes at minimum an overnight stay WITH ONLY 2-3 WALKS during the day, any additional walk MUST BE BOOKED SEPARATELY * *Consistent care during the day more then 4 hours will be $20/HR* *Key pick ups/drop off after the first time WILL be $10 or can be dropped off to me at no charge*

Shanique was so great to work with! She was communicative and sent daily photos of the dogs. It was very easy working with her and I hope to hire her again.
I was VERY anxious about leaving our little french bulldog 9m old puppy alone for a week and a half of vacation - Shanique truly put me at ease. She is incredibly kind, very thoughtful, and importantly, Pepe seemed immediately comfortable with her. And boy does she have patience because our little guy is a ball of nonstop energy and has plenty of behavioral quirks :). We will definitely ask Shanique to come back to watch Pepe for future trips!!

Shanique took great care of my dog! She is nervous with new people and Shanique was very patient with her so my pup warmed up to her quickly. She sent several updates with pictures and left my apartment in good condition.

While walking dogs I always keep them on leash and only let them interact with other dogs if the owner allow it and if both dogs and trying to engage playfully. I ask as many questions as possible to make sure we have a fun and safe walk or sitting. During house sittings I will be home with your dog most of the time but when I do have to step out I will make sure everything is secure and nothing is around that could harm your pet.
