Pet care experience
To say I love cats is an understatement! I would rescue them all if I could. But since I can't, I want to spend my days playing with and loving on as many cats as I can! I have adopted and cared for many cats, ranging in age from 8 weeks to 17 years old. I have cared for cats that require daily medication, cats with very specific dietary requirements, senior cats, and cats with illness, including cancer, and everything in between. Your cat will be in good hands! If your cat is playful and needs interaction and enrichment, I'm your girl! If your cat is mellow and prefers to sit on your lap and be pet and loved on, I'm your girl! I understand that cats each have different personalities, different needs, different likes and dislikes, and I respect them all. When you can't be home, I will be there to make sure they have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, and all the play and love they could ever want! And if you want, I'll check your mail, take your trash to the curb, and water your plants. And of course, I will send you daily updates and photos of our time together. Shana is amazing with my two cats! Her experience with cats helps me feel comfortable and confident when I’m leaving my fur babies in her care. I appreciate that she plays with them, gives them pets and loves, follows directions closely, and will clean up any mess that might need to be taken care of. For people obsessed with their cats, Shana is a lifesaver. I really really hated going out of town and leaving my 7 cats without me. But since Shana’s started watching them, I feel so much better. I’m planning a summer road trip right now! My cats have different foods and medicines and preferences and I love them like my children. Shana was able to accommodate each of them and send me pictures each day so I knew my fur babies were safe and happy! Everybody on here seems focused on dogs, and cats feel like an afterthought. Not with Shana. If you need someone to look after and love your kitty for a night or a week, I can’t recommend her enough.

I will care for your kitties in the comfort of their own home, where they feel safest and happiest. My 30 minute visit will include providing fresh water, fresh food based on your instructions, clean litter boxes, and if necessary, medication administration based on your instructions. The rest of the time we will do whatever your cat likes best, whether it be playtime or lounge time filled with lots of pets and love. Additional time can also be booked if you'd like a longer visit. I will also, upon request, check your mail, take your trash to the curb, and water your plants.

A typical day
If your cat has a preferred toy, such as a wand, I will be sure to incorporate it into our play. If they prefer to sit on my lap and be pet and loved on the entire time we can do that too! I take all my cues from the kitties and respect their wishes and boundaries. You will receive daily updates and photos of our time together.

Availability
I work part time from home so my schedule is very flexible. I can be available morning, afternoon, or evening any day of the week (based on availability with current bookings.) Additional time can also be booked if you’d like a longer visit.
