Pet care experience
I am an active volunteer and foster parent with Gateway Pet Guardians, and have fostered over 10 dogs (and 2 cats) in the last year, including puppies, new mommas as well as senior dogs! I have lived with and taken care of my roommate’s Lab mix for over a year. I usually take dogs under my care for long walks (or runs, if they are up for it) on nearby trails, or take them to dog parks to let them socialize! I do not have a yard, but I do have a patio that is easily the size of a room, which I usually keep open to let my dog out and attempt to chase squirrels :D The dogs that have walked have ranged from loose-leash walkers to extremely excited pullers, and I’m comfortable with both! I am experienced with basic training (eg. sit, hand-shake etc).

My apartment includes a patio that I usually keep open. I am okay with pets climbing onto my bed or couch. I usually take my dogs out for a short walk before I leave for work and before going to bed, and a longer walk once every evening.

Availability
I am a graduate student and have a slightly flexible work schedule. My weekends are mostly open. I am usually out for work for about 4-5 hours at a stretch and am able to walk dogs at least 3 times a day on a normal work-day.
