I have had pets all my life, and worked with animal rescues for many years. I am a former vet tech, so I am able to provide medical support for your pet as needed.

We are so happy with picked Shalyn to watch our dog while we went out of the country for a week! She was so communicative, sent daily pictures, and gave our girl the best week with lots of outdoor time, fetch, and walks! I completely trusted her and already have her booked to watch Luna again in the future!
Shalyn was exactly who we needed to watch over our older Airedale while we were away for a week. I expect our "pup" was more effort than the average visitor since she needed medication twice per day, TLC to encourage her to eat, help standing and getting up stairs, and someone to discern what her bark or whine meant. Shalyn, her dog, and the rest of her family took great care of our Airedale.
My pup always enjoys her time!
Our dog had another wonderful stay with Shalyn! He loves playing with Scout, too!!

I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space to run. Our dog Scout will keep your dog company and provide lots of play time. We can also take walks in our quiet neighborhood. I can easily crate your dog if needed while we are away or at night. Otherwise, you can send their own bed to be used around the house. Notes about our home: we have a two story house with all bedrooms upstairs. We usually have the dogs sleep in our bedroom, but we can set up an area downstairs if going up and down is difficult for your pet. Our back and front porches also have 4-5 steps into the yard.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs, like medications. I am a former vet tech, so I can administer pretty much anything needed. Also, we have deer that pass through our neighborhood regularly, so please let us know if they are reactive (barking, chasing, etc). The yard is fenced, but we will be extra alert before letting them outside.
A typical day
Since I am home all day, we will have plenty of time to play outside. Our dog Scout loves to play chase! There are plenty of indoor toys and comfortable beds for those rainy days too.

I am currently a stay at home mom, so while the kids are at school, your pup will be the center of attention (along with our dog). Our family loves dogs and your pet will be like part of our family!
